Acoustic or electric ?

my 1st guitar was a cheap-o guitar and was a washburn and I loved it (it was electric by the way) ... it's still great. Really though cheap guitars (or any guitars) are hit or miss. You might be best off going to buy a guitar with someone who really knows how to play and then let them tell you which one doesn't suck the most.

I recommend one that is light and easy to play on the fretboard for a beginner.

I'd bet DeezNuts can recommend a lot of good stuff.

Still no indication of electric or acoustic?

Also, the style of music you want to play also plays a part in the selection process. ( No group names pls just the style heavy meatal, jazz etc)

And, how el cheepo is el cheepo?

Music tips?

OK, I'll start at the very beginning, it's a very good place to start. When you read you begin with ABC, when you sing you begin with do, re, me.

This battle is intriguing, we have the ABC with singing do,re, me and anger at it being not accurate or funny.

I am confused as to why accuracy is important when describing such simple things to do :S

how is that ownage.

the Solfege for Do Re Me would go along with C D E.

not the notes A B C like what diet is stating.

you can read about it here:

Apparently the joke wasn't that complex, there was no relation between A B C and the alphabetic musical notation here.
It refered to the start of the alphabet A B C for the litterature and the most popular start of the solfege Do Re Mi for the music.
Therefor i agree, when children start to learn how to read they first start to learn the alphabet A B C..., and when the musicians (execpt some guitarist who only use tablature) start to learn the music they start with the solfege Do Re Mi...

Diet's post was that simple, for one time one of his post was easy to understand, we don't have the habit of that, it could explain the confusion.
