my 1st guitar was a cheap-o guitar and was a washburn and I loved it (it was electric by the way) ... it's still great. Really though cheap guitars (or any guitars) are hit or miss. You might be best off going to buy a guitar with someone who really knows how to play and then let them tell you which one doesn't suck the most.
I recommend one that is light and easy to play on the fretboard for a beginner.
I'd bet DeezNuts can recommend a lot of good stuff.

Music tips?
OK, I'll start at the very beginning, it's a very good place to start. When you read you begin with ABC, when you sing you begin with do, re, me. _________________ Two parts hydrogen, one part oxygen with all the fat taken out

these tips and are not even accurate or funny.
This battle is intriguing, we have the ABC with singing do,re, me and anger at it being not accurate or funny.
I am confused as to why accuracy is important when describing such simple things to do :S _________________

And for awesome euphonium playing.... Yeah...if you don't know what a euphonium is, he's playing, and doing a damn fine job.....

Be patient if you want to hear the instrument....it is truly lovely, and can rock the blocks when needed to!!!
Apparently the joke wasn't that complex, there was no relation between A B C and the alphabetic musical notation here.
It refered to the start of the alphabet A B C for the litterature and the most popular start of the solfege Do Re Mi for the music.
Therefor i agree, when children start to learn how to read they first start to learn the alphabet A B C..., and when the musicians (execpt some guitarist who only use tablature) start to learn the music they start with the solfege Do Re Mi...
Diet's post was that simple, for one time one of his post was easy to understand, we don't have the habit of that, it could explain the confusion. _________________ Allez allez, enlève ta culotte et déboutonne mon pantalon...
