thanx very much! i set up a server with os server2003 enterprise edition some days ago,and your links have been really helpful! well somehow the GUI doesnt work but i havent really searched how to make that work... this hldsupdatetool is nevertheless some kind of good thing.. by the way....that gringo dude n me are about to visit france on 4th of july...we'll stay some time in antibes where my dad lives... =D _________________ "you can run but you can't slide..." Hi Yesterday I tried to set up a small dedicated server running from my own pc. I downloaded hldsupdatetool and it updated the game. In my server.cfg file I have set sv_lan 0 and have opened all the neccessary ports on my router. The ports I opened where 27020 - 27039 Tcp, 1200 udp and 27000 - 27015 udp. The server shows up under lan settings in my find server list and I can connect just fine. I can even change settings using rcon commands but still no one else can connect  When someone else does try to connect they get the message server not responding.
The ip it is currently running on is 86.42.140.186. Any ideas guys? _________________  |

Definitly wrong settings on your router for the ports forwarding. _________________ Allez allez, enlève ta culotte et déboutonne mon pantalon... |
