Does anyone remember Systemshock 1 & 2. First one came out like 1994 and the second a few years later. Finally, after having given up all hope for another like they promised years ago, I came across this...

Did some checking and Bioshock is scheduled to be released at the end of this month Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Yes, I have System Shock2 I can find a demo of System Shock 1 but have lost the full copy. Then again I have a lot of FPS games. Very Happy
It is one of these games you can play, leave for a while, come back to and still enjoy. Very Happy

The "hacker" in game sound comes from System Shock 2

Bioshock is going to be a crazy game. System Shock 1 and 2 were a revolution in crossing the rpg element with the fps prespective. Imagine what they could do with today's graphic power, processing power and overall sound effects. God help our souls!

Zog, AVG flagged it as a virus???!!! LMAO. Maybe its all a scam and is really nothin but 1.8 Gbs of Viruses. lol Where did u dl it from?
BTW I tried it out the first few minutes and it ROX Cool Very nicely done. Far cry from the first System Shock game graphically. It is a hardware hungry game though and many ppl will prolly have to lower the settings in the game to play it Mad I built my current rig bout a year and a half a ago and it just squeeks by with all vid settings at highest.

System:
*Dual Boot OS 1. WinXP Pro 2. Gentoo
*Cooler Master Cavalier Chassis (silver)
*Gigabyte GA-K8NF9 Ultra MOBO with NForce 4 chipset
*AMD 4000+ socket 939 (San Diego core) 2.41Ghz always o/c at 2.6 Ghz (yes thats a single core) Wink
*2Gb crap (4x 512Mb) DDR Dual Channel RAM (with heat spreaders so i can o/c them without roasting them) Wink
*Antec True 430W PSU
*Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS
*1x 80Gb WD IDE 7200RPM HDD as the boot drive
*2x 100Gb WD SATA2 7200RPM HDDs @ RAID 0 for a bit o' read/write speed
*BFG Nvidia 7800GT PCI-E w/265Mb 256-bit GDDR3 factory o/c vid card and home o/c too Wink
*Samsung 226BW 22" wide screen monitor
*Saitek backlit gaming keyboard

Gaah:

Quote:
The PC demo of BioShock causes AVG to go nuts at it for containing trojans. It wouldn't install or load on a winXP partition until AVG antivirus was completely uninstalled. *Presumably* this is due to SecuROM, which also demands that other perfectly legit processes stopped.

http://www.boingboing.net/2007/08/22/bioshock_game_bundle.html

The brings bad memories back when i wanted to run HL2 for the very first time... didn't want to start on a DVD reader, bought a DVD ROM just to circumvent that stupid DRM lock (which was removed later on).

Hi,
been to the pain clinic for physiotherepy today. After hobbling back and buying some gold fish food I met up with some guys I know who were in the alcohol awareness seminar at the health center.
(Visit the Wheel Bar, there is no such thing as no for an answer.)
I left before it got real serious and, on the way, dropped some change in the
bandit. Surprised
Well to cut a long story short, I now own a copy of BIOSHOCK two bottles of my favorite tipple and some munchies. (My PC meets the recommended spec apart from the DX10 Surprised )
Now the only thing wrong is I need to sleep for a while. But, when I wake up,
would please point me to a game with the nearest physiotheripist in it. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

played the demo today, looks great so far. there will be a patch for widescreen: http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/48621
but still having your installs limited to 5 is like you don´t really buy the game. bad securom.
