Brand New G5 Gaming Mouse (new style) - For Sale or Swap |
|
I have a brand new Logitech G5 Gaming Mouse (the new style with the extra side button) up for sale.
If interested please make a sensible offer or I will consider a swap for an older style G5 (one side button) if its reasonably unused, particularly the left/right scroll on the mouse wheel.
Reason for sale is I cant get on with the driver software with Half Life 2 Deathmatch.
PS: Not sure if this is allowed, if not please delete and my apologies!

I'm on a G5 and when I bought my new machine I never bothered to install the logitec software, still works a treat though.

I had the same problem with the mx518, it has two dedicated buttons either top and bottom of the scroll wheel. The first few times i played withit, i would either get motion sickness from turning to quickly when increased or dead on slow motion when decreased. At 1st i unbound these buttons, now i've learn't how to configure for extra buttons.

hey dude,if you don't install the drivers it will be capped at 1600 dpi for max resolution and you can't tweak the usb polling rate, so you can't get the 1ms response rate they claim it dishes out.
install them and you will noticed the difference, i run mine at max sensitivty on windows, 550 dpi on the driver setting and sensitivity 10 in game,it works amazing! poll rate is set at 1000 mhz, i tested the response rate is around 1.5 ms so that adds 1.5 ping to anything i attempt to do in game, usually it's around 8 to 12 ms with other mice except the razers cuz they get 1 ms response rate. game detection off is better, as the drivers get confused in source engine games.

thats totally the opposite of what I do. I set it to 2000dpi and 1.6 ingame sens. isnīt more dpi better than using lower than standard (800) dpi?
