Symptoms:
I open the console. In the text field I type a letter. Letter shows up as typed and console closes immediately.
Diagnosis?
Cure?

The console is automaticaly closing itself when an incompetent person is trying to use it.

In which language your keyboard is set?
Start>Settings>Control Panel>Regional and Language Options>Languages>Details...
If anything else than English (United States) - US, then set it to English (United States) - US and make a try.

Yeah.
I remember also doing this. But in my case the console didn't show up at all.
The only thing that really freaks me out is that i cannot enable the console in mod Obsidian Conflict. Downloading the new version also didnt help. Any suggestions??
P.S. Obsidian Conflict is the only game in my gamelist where i cannot enable the console...

I now have console AND incompetence!!!
