We decided that Montenegro would be a suitable vacation spot for us this year. The country has both the sea and the mountains, plus the tourist infrastructure is quite developed. We want to see something deeper and more authentic besides the most famous places. The plan is to get a vehicle and drive around the country for a bit. The northern part of the country is completely different from the crowded beaches down south. The mountain roads offer absolutely crazy views at every single turn. You should check out Durmitor National Park for sure because the Tara River Canyon there is massive and visually impressive. Lake Skadar is another cool spot to add to your list where you can spend an entire day just taking in the local nature.

A drive along the Bay of Kotor is an absolute must because the small medieval towns right by the water are incredibly picturesque.
