I don't think he is Loki. Currently, I'm going to keep fixing the kvf numbers when there are orangebox updates and try to help people out. However, if the core of the code for the plugin becomes broke, there is nothing I can do to fix it since the plugin is closed source. I know that possibly Osiris is trying to gain the code from keeper and then may keep it open source via google code. Hopefully this occurs, but getting ahold of Keeper lately proves to be extremely difficult. It is actually my desire the plugin becomes open source so it can be ported over to sourcemod.

No, Keeper's plugin does so much more then just quake sounds. The plugin is a core component to my servers. It creates hit sounds for registered hits, it supplies quake sounds, it disables explosion ringing, saves scores, and it creates additional logging for stats.

I have a problem with Keepers Plugin. I installed metamod version and most parts of the plugin dont work. MetaMod:Source v1.10.0-devV, SourceMod v1.5.0-dev+3756 are installed. The Hit sounds are working,but headshot and Kill streak has no function. There is no sound and no text after 4,6,8 and so on kills. In HLSW the Plugin is running,in the server log are no error or other.
Can anyone tell me whats the problem there?

i dont know why i cant load the plugnin.. i've checked every step on the forum but still no clue.. i also tried to load manually on the console but this is the message i get

No valid signature found for c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\darkfreak17\half-life 2 deathmatch\hl2mp\addons\keeper_sounds.dll
Unable to load plugin "addons/keeper_sounds"

is it because for not compatible version?.. what can i do?.. how other servers can still run it?

keeper was working fine after the last steam update three days ago.

since today keeper and saysounds r dead Sad

keeper is already loaded but wont work. I didnt change anything.

Am I the only one with Linux Problems?

I did all changes from page 13.....

new Installation, restart..... nothing

I have noticed the same - on windows server.

I had been using the VSP one successfully up till the last update (as the SM one had not worked), yet now if the plugin is active then after a few seconds the server crashes. Remove the plugin and the server no longer crashes.

Is this likely to be fixed?

You have to change the dll.kvf file vfunctions. You can find updated numbers with every engine update here:

Umm ok, clicked that link and selected the game type hl2dm - how do i get the dllinfo.kvf file from there?

I tried also selecting all the checkboxes and then clicking export for this game only and export for all games - each one just takes me to a page which says

503 Service Unavailable

What should I do now?

Search for the functions listed in the dll.kvf and replace the numbers with the listed ones from that site. For instance, "TraceAttack" in the dll.kvf has the official function name as "CBasePlayer::TraceAttack(CTakeDamageInfo const&, Vector const&, CGameTrace*, CDmgAccumulator*)" which you can find on that site.

For the linux server, you can try this fix.
Extract the following archive as it:

orangebox/bin/libtier0.so
orangebox/bin/libvstdlib.so

For the SMM version use the latest Metamod Snapshots from the development branch available there:

It doesn't seem to be coming from dllinfo.kvf, it may need a rebuild of the plugin binaries, which then is problematic.
If anyone else running the plugin on a windows server can confirm this issue, this would be appreciated.

Thanks, works now ! the steam update rewrote those bin files.

You'r welcome, Steam update always rewrite any non custom files, but since the pipe update it does also rewrite motd, mapcylcle and maplist which is quite annoying.
