Since update to steampipe I could only pick combine player model
Here is a workaround until it's fixed if ever.
in console type or paste cl_playermodel models/humans/Group03/Male_01.mdl

if you want female it's cl_playermodel models/humans/Group03/female_06.mdl
and for combine cl_playermodel models/combine_super_soldier.mdl

To bind a key for switching to a model in console type.

bind "f3" "cl_playermodel models/combine_super_soldier.mdl"
and for rebel.
bind "f4" "cl_playermodel models/humans/Group03/Male_01.mdl"

you don't have to use f3 or f4 the key you choose is upto you ... and so is the player model just change the number or name to what player model you want to use.

'userconfig.cfg' not present; not executing.
Host_WriteConfiguration: Wrote cfg/config.cfg
and model stays the same for me Confused
