I wonder if its worth buying hl1 and the other hl1 based games. I have all the hl2 ones but the hl1 games I watched through speedruns and I donīt think Iīm interested in playing them.

there are source mod ports for them, so you should be ok without them

Erm... Dude HL1 Is worth playing! I loved it when i first started playing it.. i was arround 7 years old , or so. But the game is Legen- wait for it... -DARY! Very Happy Speedruns are sometimes not that good .
After beating the Current Max Payne 2 Speedrun i was really hype about it , but the game itself is good. So speedruns pretty much kill the fun IMO Wink Just play it , dont rush it Cool

The ps2 I didn't like, the best version is hl1 source running on hl2 engine, graphics are better like water and a fun game. Very Happy

Considering the time/year HL1 was released, i was really amazed. i liked it more than hl2 actually..... i liked hl2, but to me, it didnt make me have that "wow" effect as the 1st one had.

HL1 is a must to every 1 that plays half life.

havent finished the expansion blue shift yet though....
