I don't think I can post polls, but I'm curious why all you stunstick lovers love it, and vice versa. I'm partial to the crowbar because it's faster and I don't feel as vulnerable.. I can hit them with something then run up and whack 'em without running around holding a glowing buzzing stick. Also It's easier to get inside someone holding a prop and whack-whack-whack-whack. People get disoriented. Stick does more damage, but the speed..

You got to love the stun stick gIow. I many use the stun stick cause it does 40HP damage, where the crowbar does 25HP.

in stick fights I haven´t seen the crowbar dominate, its mostly the stunstick that is better. I´m not a big fan of stick fights against the crowbar, totally the opposite of the stunstick where you are calm, the crowbar guys go crazy. (including me when I´m using the crowbar as well)

I like the stunstick better because of the damage and because I can use it much better. going up against a stick user with the crowbar usually produces bad results for me.

I am also a slave to the glow. With that said there are a few out there (Hyde, Pureslut, Illyria, Muffin) etc.
who are very dangerous and are very good at fending off us Stick people.

40 hp vs 25 means 3 swings to kill full health no suit, vs 4 swings but faster. I think that's why I dig it, but I know some people who are amazing with that crazy stick. Shimmy's a madman with that thing. Perhaps I should get better with it.. i can see the attraction.

each weapon has it's usage. The way you move with each is totally different. as you mentioned before the crowbar user is in a frenzy, the stunstick user is calm and collected. The crowbar is an awesome weapon, it feels slower in Half life 2 than in Half life 1. Lol and the sound effect is not as fulfilling. non the less, sometimes the crowbar is very useful. but I prefer the stunstick, as it needs surgical precision, every hit counts cuz you don't have the speed to compensate for lost hits.

nothing ever beats the feeling of twirling around your opponent while hitting him with a whirl wind of sticks! Lastly wielding the sticks makes you feel like ur using a samurai sword, as for the crowbar, it feels like wielding a rambo type hunting knife.

I like the sword more! BUZZZZZZ!

I started playing DM seriously just after an upgrade emasculated the crow bar in 2007. It was slow and innefective until a plug in came along later in 2007 and the bar was back to speed again. I therefore learned to use and love the stun stick. Laughing

I love the sparks in the dark and gloomy maps and boxes. Wink

BUT, there is nothing I like better than clobbering somebody with a phys box whilst holding it with the grav gun. Twisted Evil

Stunstick for me, it has the power. I feel weak with the crowbar. Plus the stick makes a cool noise when you smack someone.

I like the crowbar better it's so much faster than the stunstick that I don't mind that you have to hit 4 times instead of 3. Maybe it's also because I play in rebel costume, too Smile

I kind of prefer the crowbar to the stunstick, though of course both weapons have their advantages. I love the sound the stick makes when you hit someone, and the glow is pretty neat. The higher damage can come in handy, too. Always depends on the situation. But usually I play with the crowbar, I love the speed and it's so much fun to confuse people - though it happens a bit too often that I get confused myself O_O
But for me speed > damage.

Crowbar - swings faster but mainly because I prefer being a Rebel as they have smaller hitboxes and make less noise Wink

I'm a stunstick man now. If you're going to get into a stick fight and deek people out with sprint/no sprint/strafe jump better make it count and use the stick!
