Hello everyone!

Been a while since i dropped in a comment!
I was thinking. . .

Every time look at TSGK servers nowadays they are empty!! What the hell is going on? Is Half Life Deathmatch dieing or has there been a transfer of server interests. I was looking to start up Half Life again but decided against it as it wasn't the same. TSGK servers are empty?!?!

Anyone got an explanation?

It Seems to depend on the time of day. Also if no one is on at the particular time you look,
I have notice many are doing the same as you.
They see no one and wait or don't play. Plenty of people want to play
they just don't want to be the first in a server.
Usually within 10 minutes of joining an empty server there will be at least 5 people in it. Smile

I never have trouble finding a game.

Or maybe since the servers were just Synchronized with VAC all the cheaters are now banned and can't get on. Shocked

Lol i am a cheater on css but not on half life my friend, it would be foolish to do so.

Back to the actual subject, i mean i dont see anyone on the servers like they used to be.

It used to be that server 1 always used to have people on it, and the other servers would generate interest as well.

this game is shit-beat it lol. there is much better games out there than this one. and it takes too much time to get good in HL2DM, so ppl are not interested to play it.

and sure u cheated in CSS lol, like everyone who hacked in HL2DM

and if u really did hack in CSS not in Hl2DM, than why? cuz ppl are much better than u and u cant accept it? ;( rofl

Well to be completely honest its quite fun hacking on CSS but also about 7 in 10 cheat on the game anyway! So i thought i may as well. And cheating on Half Life is almost impossible as its so easy to spot when someone is.

Half life deathmatch is fun without being good, although this irrelevant to the topic. I just want to know what happened to tsgk servers to make them decrease in visitors?

I remember seeing loads of people on the opening page to the tsgk website playing now i only see a few and rarely loads at one time.

Also just not to offend anyone this is not a dig at tsgk forums im just curious. I utterly enjoyed the servers when i played half life and miss the experience.

i just said- noone plays on TSGK servers cuz this game is bad! and its not only on TSGK servers.

and lol @ 7 of 10 hackers on CSS. only cuz u suck and need cheat doesnt mean other ppl needs them too. and why u just didnt hack on non-vac secured server? hahaha fail

true, this it totally offtopic about cheating, but as i already answered to your question why so less ppl play hl2dm, i thought i can talk about cheating

Nice to see you again, Samwidge. It's been quite some time. I hope things are going well.

TSGK servers are pretty much the same as they have always been. I'm sure there are things going on behind the scenes that are different, but the gameplay experience is largely the same as it has been in the past. There is a greater effort to bring the community closer together than there was back when you played though; see the HL2DM Consortium and HL2DM-University.

HL2DM has been experiencing a decline in popularity for quite a while now. Presumably from TF2 and L4D pulling away both hardcore and casual players and Valve always breaking the game with updates (which hasn't happened in a while). From what I've seen (I'm not very active right now) there is a sad amount of new blood coming into the game right now.

It's a sad state for such a unique and technical First-Person Shooter to be in. But there are still plenty of fine nades to cook, blades to toss, bunnies to hop, people to stick, and gravs to jump. The folks who are still playing do have a genuine love for the game (I think) so while it may not be as easy to find a game, the games that are found are usually pretty sweet. And as Nutz says, they probably just need a brave soul to hop in a server first!

And 70% of the players don't cheat...

P.S. I'll be back to comment on CS:S and Samwidge after some HL2DM, beer.....and mini wheels of cheese Twisted Evil
