Steam has always been more expensive than retail games, I don't know why they are all moaning like its something new...

Am I missing something? I mean no one is forcing them to buy from Steam.
Buy where it's cheaper and if Steam wants to sell the stuff they will come down in price.
Maybe they consider it a convenience for those willing to pay a little more not to have to leave the house

you guys are not getting the point
Left 4 Dead Before: $49.95
Left 4 Dead after: 49.95€
If everyone is going to do this shit, what's the point of having currency exchange?

Well yes, Valve are taking the piss a bit with a direct conversion from dollars to euros without taking the exchange rate into account. But still, like Nutz said, you can always buy the game retail and then add it to steam anyway..

I haven't brought a game since TF2, i got HL2:DM, CS:S and TF2 to keep me happy, I know you can never have too many games but whats the point in buying more if your happy with what you got? As someone said noone forces you to buy off steam, but its the convienence thats there. And I find Steams advantages outway its disadvantages.

I agree with DrBreen.... There - I've said it. I AGREE WITH DRBREEN. However... Dr Breen disagrees with himself: http://forum.tsgk.com/viewtopic.php?t=3692
Steam has always been a rip-off. It can be handy to use it. But I always prefer local retailers.

So be content with the million and 1 games you already have
I can''t find the thread you posted but it was when you was offering your account up for sale and you racked off a list of 30 - 40 odd games.
You have enough games to last you till your 60's Breen. Save your money and buy yourslef something else, like, a Pogo Stick!!!

You pay for the service, you can always look around the games shops for a better deal. Or use the easy but more money steam system.

Yep, and with Steam you can download your games as many time's as you want to any computer so long as your only logged in at once at anyone time. You scratch a retail CD disk beyond recognition then your game bites the dust.

Actualy if you buy a Jewl for a STEAM game than it doesnt matter if you have the cd or you dont. You just need to install it ONCE and add the CD-key given wiht the Jewl. From that point its a Loss-free zone But if you want to be home and spend some doe on games...steam is the answer to your needs... IMHO its better to go out and buy a game than sit at home and Order it... Prices are lower + Fresh air is good for you!
