This is about dual-booting a computer right? Then why would anyone post torrent links? lol I'm confused. Anyway, I have never dual booted with a Mac or with a mac OS but I do know ppl that have messed up doing it and lost data. If I were to try it on an existing OS I would definitely make backups or image my drive first.

the tiger/leopard os dvd is patched and that version is only available in certain places:wink:
i think there is a way to do it with a retail version but like the people you know don't want to mess up my machine lol. although it's about time for a clean up of this computer so if i had to do it a fresh install of vista wouldn't be too bad.
i just wondered if anyone had 1st hand experience of what it entails. most of the guides i've read involve command line missions which i'm not familiar with.

I have experience with this. If you do it, make a backup of important files and crap like movies and music on external HDD or DVDs lol. I like to use Acronis Disk Director. you can go to their site and download a trial, then after install go to start > Programs > Acronis > Install OS Selector. then u can select which OS to boot. Only drawback is that after the trial, there is a 10 second wait before you can choose the OS to boot. I have OSX installed on a seperate partition on my pc. i really enjoy it. It's pretty tricky to work it all out during install though, you have to choose the right patches for you motherboard (sometimes, depending on your motherboard) and then patches for your Processor (intel or AMD) and soundcard and video card drivers. if you need any help send me a PM or reply on here. It's a pretty fun project to do too. And Also, it's kind of hard to find Sound card drivers, but if you're really desperate, you can buy an iMic (i think they're around $40) It's like a USB sound card, it works nice. But yea, it is really fun to do this, feels really good when you get it all set-up and it actually works. if you get a Kernal Panic on the OS loading screen, you will have to reinstall. usually means you didnt install the right patches during set-up. let me know if you need any help!

Get Ableton Lie 7 for Windows, that is the best piece of music kit I ever owned.
