I know there's a method to a 'melee only' map, but it looks like it involves rigging portals to spawn with just sticks. Sad

Not sure what you mean? Could you elaborate?

One note for the map: players will spawn with a stick, they are not required to collect sticks or otherwise go out of their way to get a stick as in other melee maps. This feature is demonstrated in centrum and freerunner_sticks.
