It's 24:1 (assuming same as 3mb package). Quite good for Ireland. If it's available in your area Raf then definately worth looking at.

NTL now have 12mb for 40 a month. I think their contention is 16:1. Also - they havent let me down for a year.

Thanks mate, don't really need to changed providers but I'm sure I can do better and for cheaper than Eircom.

Scares me too! And there's more!

Be sure to check what BT UK users feel about BT network trafficing (I think it's ok). You can be sure that Ireland will plug into it and you'd be disappointed if your favaourite server went from ping 40 to ping 120.

I hate the deutsche telekom, they require perfect connection stats for you to get adsl2 but with netcologne for example you can get it with bad stats too. for example the telekom gave me only dsl 3000, netcologne gives me dsl 18000 (only about 13000 kbit/s usable because of the bad stats, but thats still 10000 more than the telekom could provide me). bad stats donīt have to mean the connection will be of poor quality, I had no problem despite thousands of errors in the log. netcologne also started giving people fiber optic connections and they are quickly expanding. I hope one day I can get one too, but I think itīll take some time till they get here.
