As a Clans-United admin, and kind of representative of the CU in this forum, it is my pleasure to announce and inform you about a proposal that has been given, and accepted by the admins of the Clans-United.

A 2vs2 Killbox Cup/Tournmament/League is going to be run by the Clans-United aiming to attract and please the individual killbox players and killbox clans out there.

Why? are we going to run this cup?

We in the Clans-United community want HL2DM community to be united, and believe that by achieving this, we will can keep this game alive. A proposal of one of our admins in order to achieve this was to attract the killbox part of the HL2DM community. The proposal has been successfully accepted so we have decided to cup run a killbox cup.

With the killbox cup we aim at pleasing a part that was left out from the CU at start, so now we are trying to bring together all HL2DM gameplays and all the HL2DM players together in one big, and expanding environment.

NOTE: Before you decide to say "no way" or "CU sucks" or "this will not be fun and will suck", I would like to inform everyone that:

This will be cup for FUN but in a bit of competitive and WELL ORGANISED environment, which just as in any other league/cup, exists.

When? will this cup run?

The Clans-United 2v2 Killbox Cup will begin in a few weeks, depending on the amount of players willing to register, and the appeal it will have.

Who can participate?

- We call ALL individual players and clans.
- It will NOT be Clan restrictive [= forced to join as clan] aiming to be most enjoyable since you are able to team up with a friend who might be in another clan, or clanless, etc.

Rules and Settings?

- Each team can have as many members in it as it wants, but only 2 will be playing every time. [recommended maximum players = 4]

- How will this cup run?

The cup will be taking place over a period of 3-4 weeks. The way it will be played will be similar to this:

where one map only is played at each round.

Maps are decided randomly for each round so all teams play the same map, to be fair and more challenging. The winner of each round goes through to the next round and plays on the next map.

The Final round [big and small final] will be decided on two maps. Each finalist choses the map it wants. In case of a draw, a third map decided randomly by the admins will be played. In the finals, score is counted in the form of maps.

Depending on how succesfull the cup is, more 2v2 killbox cups will follow, and maybe even other kind of cups [1v1,3v3, etc].

How to sign up?

Since the cup will be decided to run if there is an appeal from the killbox community there is still no registration for the particular cup on the CU site.

Therefore, please reply to this topic if you are interested. It is preferred if you find your teammate too and reply to this topic in the following form:

sounds good mate, I think theres a few leagues being bantered around at the moment, I know DTS are looking at organising one, as well as KC methinks, but gl anyway, Knockout leagues always are the best as it doesn't require 20 games b4 the keague is finished

No thanks. I've lurked enough on the cu forums to know that is will descend into either:

a) A flame/e penis war with lots of arguing over who pwned who
b) An argument over how killboxes are for n00bs and cu is wasting its time with the league
c) An argument about whether a certain/player clan is cheating
