Please please please can we have more peeps in Server XIX
It has some really cool maps which should not be missed.
So please don't be boring and stay on the same map all the time, get out and about on server XIX!

Yeah there are so much fun maps on this server, this is really nice to play with a lot of people on XIX.

I hope we will play together on it soon !

As a bit of light relief from the mainstream kill box games, I often play the more conventional maps. I was aware that these servers had map cycles but what is off putting is the size of the cycle. Sad

In fact the more crazy the map the better. Laughing

gSe #1, 217.75.119.206:27015, run a mouse kill box. (bellas room used to be on sever XIX). This server is good fun is small doses.
UK Bitches and Bastards 81.107.54.250:27015 run a nice short cycle with the odd extras thrown in. The in game sounds are also very amusing.
What I am coming on to is that these servers are very popular ( when they are actually up and running Wink

) The cycles are short enough to become familiar with the maps.
A radical look at the map cycle and the type of map will pay dividends in bringing in young players if the other two examples I quote are anything to go by.

A 1-2 server network is not comparable with a 29 servers network at all.
We can't full all our servers at the same time 24h/7d a week and that's not our goal anyway, we have 29 of them (a capacity of 456 slots), if we would have a lonely server it will be full 24h/7d a week as well by the regular players, because there will be only 1 TSGK server, and this what ever the maps cycle.

TSGK Serv XIX (and XXIII) purpose is to run hundred of maps (plus all the maps available but not in the cycle), and all of these maps are available at anytime with a votemap (probably not working right now since the chat still screwed up, not tested).
Which mean, you are bored with regular maps cycle at others servers, you want to play a specific map with your friends, so you connect to server XIX, you run a votemap, you choose your map and you enjoy, here is the purpose of this server, self service anytime, or just follow the cycle is fun as much, it is a gracious service prior to be a players trap (like a fly catcher).

I a not being critical. What I am saying is that novice players are more comfortable with fewer maps. Also, you must first play the map a few times in order to decide if you like it not to mention knowing where to find weapons and power ups.

I tend to gather servers where I can find a game because I play a odd times of the day and night due to my work and also being insomniac. In addition to the two I mentioned, the low gravity version of KBH 1 is also very popular.

Excluding tdm, a quick survey of the internet hl2 server list will confirm what I am saying.

With everybody asking "where is everybody", and clans starting to clue up all I want to do is make my thoughts public and hope that something positive may come from the discussion (if any) that is generated. I love the game too much to want to witness its decline and demise.

I get slightly emo when I can't find a game but joining in on server XIX tonight would have been suicidal. Laughing

(not to mention not having a slot)

TBH anything under 400 grav is just too low, it's shooting fish in a barrel and promotes poor skill development.

A player will gain a much better feel for this game hitting targets that don't float to them.

Yeah it's obvious the servers aren't as full as before TF2 release but they'll be back.....................they always come back.

one thing I´d like to ask is, can the XIX maplist be randomized? I don´t want to need to vote for maps (hard to make enough people vote) but play many different maps. so I would have to play at different times with some maps beeing at late night where there are no players. until now I played only a part of the full cycle and I want to play the rest too but in european playing hours where you can find some people on the server. so if the next map was always choosen randomly or the cycle was randomized everyday somehow it would be great.
