Subject description: sprint, jump and crouch buttons

I was using this before:
sprint:shift
jump:space
crouch:mouse sidebutton

now I changed it to:
sprint:shift
jump:mousewheel down
crouch:space
this way I can jump better.

however since I use my middle finger for scroll and for the right mouse button I can´t use both at the same time. what do you players who use the scrollwheel for jumping do? and what is your key setup for scrollwheel jumping?

btw. I will play bad for some time now because I have to get used to it, I was constantly forgetting how to jump when I tried it out today.

hahaha, I tried using mouse wheel down for jump for about 1 week.. it was horrible. Personally I can time my jumps better with space!

i have :
jump : wheel mouse up and space
c : duck
shift : speed

I don't use middle finger to jump, that's why i can't bhop when i shot (left mouse button). During fight, i use space ...

c for duck is weird, which finger do you use for it?

I can bhop a lot better with the mousewheel (if I only bhop with no fighting) but my gameplay will be bad for some time now, as you could see from yesterday. I´m not sure if I keep it like this. if I cant get used to it I´ll have to go back but I dont think I will.

i use default too. I dont think its good to put more funktions to the mouse then the 2 shot modes because anything else you add will worse your movement and ability of fighting as cynix said. You cant do both proper then, thats my opinion and experience at others.

ctrl= crouch
space= jump
everthing else is the same
this way you can move and shot and bhop all at the same time with no aim deficit.

I use thumb... and i think CTRL is more weird !
with thumb you can hit C + SPACE in same time in one action ... very usefull. CTRL and SPACE will be horrible for me.

I dont use ctrl, thats my stunstick button. I use the side button of my g5 for crouch, the same as your mx518. maybe its a bit too much to have them all on the mouse. but jump is easier there. I´ll rethink.
