Not really Sarge.
This Swedish Lady got 40 GigaBit. Thats 1000 times faster then 40 MBit.
Thats pretty much more then the most Servers (100MBit-1GBit) and even Datacenters (usually 2.5-10 GBit) could serve.
Thats a rate of 5 Gigabyte per Second. A full DVD in less then 1 second ftw!!!
Shame there is no Harddisc that could write the data so fast tough.

If your saying it isnt possible the answer is here
or if you cant be arsed to read it all...

The secret behind Sigbritt's ultra-fast connection is a new modulation technique which allows data to be transferred directly between two routers up to 2,000 kilometres apart, with no intermediary transponders. |
So kinda.... possible

You understood me false. I never mentioned its a fake or impossible. I knew this Report and its over 2 Months old meanwhile.
I said only that 99% of all Servers couldnt send the Data that fast. Nor could any standard PC receive and save 5 Gigabyte per second. Or did you ever hear of any Harddisc or RAID to store ~5 Gigabytes per Second?
You cant download faster then the other side is able to send the Info.
The Servers maximum upload speed generally limits the download speed you can get. YouŽll get braked down to the Servers maximum speed.

wow that is very good. espescially the upload! I read that Latvia has some of the fastest internet around and this proves it. I guess it's becuase when Latvia don't have any old technology piggybacking on the new so it's all fast and wicked.. unlike here where there are telephone lines which are 40 years old LOALALAL!!

I have 18mbit/1mbit, but technically I only reach 13mbit/1mbit because "the last mile" is too long. but its still a great improvement for me, I had 3mbit/0.5mbit for a long time before. its giving me the creeps when I read about places in the world where you cant even get 1mbit dsl or have to pay hundreds of $ for it.

OH YEAH!
My internet stopped working, I called tech support. not only did I get an American tech, he found out I was paying for 5-meg when I could have 10-meg service for the same price, I like that guy.
Check the new hobo speed, with a router running multiple PC's.
Pwn.
EDIT:Prepare to have even more objects rejected and returned in game ;p

At university accomodation- It's ok for my needs I suppose, slower than what I'm used to but at least it's 100% more reliable than my home connection.
