Hi all,
just upgraded my speaker system from the cambridge surround sound to the logitech z-5500, AWSOME and bloddy scarey in game, the 375 feels like an anti tank gun going of Very Happy

and plasma balls exploding make me jump , and a lot more detail to what is going on in game, footsteps and soforth........................

to scared to go into a map now Very Happy

, suppose i could turn them down a bit ! ..............na Evil or Very Mad

Surrond sound is great for listening out for footsteps etc and working out direction of gun fire etc.

I brought the Creative Inspire 7.1 T7700 speakers 3 years ago so i know what your going through Shocked

Only problem is not the feedback from the speakers, its the other poeple in the house complaining about the subwoofer. You will now get TURN that down shouted through your door Evil or Very Mad

In fact, in my opinion, a headset is better than all speakers configuration.
Since i play with headset i'm better in classical map.

Headset sound is great I use my headset in Battlefield 2 Cool

but after some time I need to take it off maybe I need a bigger one Razz

I have a cheap creative 5.1 system but I just dont use it, only if someone else needs to hear it too because I dont want to bother anyone in the house. I use a Sennheiser PC160 headset and its very comfortable even after hours.

I play a lot in the early hours of the morning so the sound is turned way down low. Crying or Very sad

I have an Altec Lansing Xa2021 something or other I got a year and a half ago. The subwoofer (heh, funny word) is crazy on full bass so I keep it turned down unless everyone else it out of the house. Confused

Good sound really adds a lot to the game (more than I ever thought) so I'm glad I got them.

I have a basic 3 speaker subwoofer system (wich is strange for me as my car has 2500 watts of sound equipment) I'm a sound freak,but I think I left the PC like this to try and salvage some hearing for the future,kinda give my ears a break.

But I do like using headphones though you get more sound detail compared to a basic stereo sound.

Good buy on the new speakers fluffy!
