Nice find.

I remember around the time it was launched watching a tv program called 'tomorrow's world' in which the presenters spread jam all over a cd wiped it clean and told viewers that it was virtually indestructible. I don't know how many of the buggers I had to throw out because of scratches.

The biggest thing I miss about Vinyl is the the cover artwork (size matters). Anyone who used to listen to Echo and the Bunnymen might recall their album artwork.

Bring on the dancing horses... wherever they may roam... (or smt) Still listening to them once in a while. And remember those "Picture Maxi Singles"... i still have that special version of Depeche Mode's "Master and Servant".

Just wondering who had the first CD Player on the market... the BBC link says it was Philips, http://www.cedmagic.com/history/sony-cdp-101.html says it was Sony...

What was your first CD you bought btw? Mine was Pink Floyd - The Final Cut.

it even had a collectable Basketball card!

was so cool!

addition: the cd art looked like a baseketball too! so cool it was! oh man those days!
