It would be quite unusual for a case fan to not be removable?

Also check the connection, might just have popped out.

Based on the fans location I don't think it should be regulated by anything so I would guess it shouldn't cut out but it is possible that some software or even the bios may be controlling it.

Refer the Mainboards Handbook if the Case-Fan is temperature controlled or not. I think it is and activates only every then and now - when it gets over a specific temperature.

A further look into the BIOS could help aswell. If its a temp controlled one there should be a menue to set the activation temperature somewhere.

I doubt its broken. Parts like it just stop completely or runs fine without break. Something other happens rarely in case of its simple structure. They are "fine" or "ready for the bin" - nothing between in most cases.

P.S. The Picture isnt detailed enough to see it clear but the Fan will be held by 4 screws from outside or some click system. Looks more like screws as far i can see.

after i ran speed fan i figured out that i have temperature sensors. i do think it is temp controlled. seems awkward that its still on since i have the case open.

I had the same problem, the fans on the way out. These fans only cost about £5. Mine was pop riveted in, just drill out, as the new fan will come with 4 screws that will replace the rivets.
