Because I fuked it with a CD Drive emulator, anyway I spent 3 hours rebuilding it into my old computer case as that had space for an extra HD and my other one didnt, so now I have 3 HD's =D.
I have a nice fresh copy of XP with fuk all installed on it yet, it runs sooo smooth. I must of spent about 3 hours copying stuff from drive to drive, then formatting each one. Anyway job done, my internet works. I just have to spend the next day installing everything I need again and shouting at whatever Microsoft employee I speak to, to validate my Windows copy (they get a bit suspicious when you have validated the same copy of Windows for the 10th time in about 3 years lol). I just tell them its there shitty software and they usually shut up.
My power switch is also fukked. I am currently turning it on using a Knife on the On/Off connector of my motherboard to make the circuit. So dunno what Im gonna do about that yet. Then to top it off I spent a good hour trying to figure out why the computer wasn't recognising my new HD, only to find that the drive was shagged (Seemed ok after a format though).
Anyways im back online and Hopefully be fraggin in HL by the end of night

about the power button: look if it is damaged somewhere and if it is solder it. or if you cant solve it, if you can find an old pc that is unused, take its powerbutton cord. or make yourself a new one with a button you can buy at a electronic store. needs some case modification though as you canīt use the cases original button.

hahaha not to worry anymore, I disconnected the USB 1 slot on the front of the case and removed it, sloted two wires thorugh the hole and connnected them to the motherboard. Now all i have to do is 'hotwire' the two wires together to turn it on and off lol, ill post a pic tomorrow, the ducting tape all over the front is pretty funny

no worries, it should be safe even if you touch the wire, I was also afraid of that but that was until my friend calmly held an unisolated 12V cable in his hand confused about my concern.
