All depends which model you buy. The female version comes with a volume switch starting with loud...... Another version of the female model comes with a frequency switch, basic has constant talk and nag mode

I have an idea of what he's in for... and all I can say is this: God help you. Just remember, anyone can make it without sleep for five months. Of course, she may be sleeping now and you think all is roses - but give it time, my friend, oh yes - give it time.
...just kidding (kinda)....
Actually, you never know. All babies are different. My daughter wasn't too bad, but she was our second so I think we were just use to it. It was my son (who is now 5) that tested our resolve. One night he cried from 6pm until 6am. But then, four months later, it was like a whole new world and been great ever since.
Congratulations. I have some really funny newborn stories to share if you're ever interested. Oh, and here's a pic of my daughter too.
