OK, some folks don't know this and some are just a bit rude, but I don't like some things (especially if done by a regular or TSGK member) such as:

1. Not saying hello. Say hello ffs, it's polite. (except if you did a brb, crashed or something before it.
2. Say goodbye (unless it's at endgame and you said gg)
3. Say gg not *** has disconnected, or bg, or lucky. Two g's - just do it.
4. Don't say 'lucky' etc etc, be generous with your comments
5. Don't nade me and expect me to raise my stick when you raise yours. Do I look stupid?!
6. Don't nade me - just don't. Please. I cry
7. Don't speak french - I can't understand it except for some swear words. Besides, it's the language of the devil (hopefully osiris, pikpik and g3rbil are not watching this - if they are then 'viva le France')
8. Enough about lag! Jaysus - you think you're the only one?
9. Do not crouch - it looks silly and you might be mistaken for pooing all over the map.
10. Say n1, ns etc. Being nice makes you friends. And let's face it, none of us have a lot of friends otherwise we wouldn't be online so much.

Funny this should come up as a new post. '' I just happened to be on a back shift today and ended up playing with some French players this morning. One player was using the online sound facility. My French is not that good but I could understand enough to know he was not being very nice. When asked to speak English he did. Unfortunately, all he could manage was obscenities and abuse. Mind you, the English person who asked, was polite and did not use obscenities, he did however wind the French man up.
Others joined in.
We are playing with people from all over the world and is not a good advert for your own nation to be behaving in this manner. I makes me mad A bit of light risky humor is ok When it gets to the stage when it spoils you game and puts you off playing it is wrong.

Sorry if I am a bit slow to respond to greeting at times but I am not good enough to type messages and play at the same time. I normally wait till I get killed, (which is not normally very long ) to reply an sometimes the greeting is out of context. I also at times may fail to acknowledge compliments. I apology for this> I have to ware glasses which are a compromise between short sighted and reading and often just don't see what is being typed when it is moving fast.
I am going to make the effort to learn to say"Hi" in the appropriate language if I happen to know what nationality the joining player is.
I do play on other servers and find that some of the banter is far from politically correct and offensive at times. I have made the TSGK sever my playing home because I think the balance is more or less correct.

totally agree with you Diet on that one except rules 1 to 10. just kidding. but yeah a simple hello would suffice. I guess

and Zog, bind keys to the responses you use the most. so let's say b would be ty and n would be n1 and so on. this way you respond to everything while gaming. "yes that's how we reply really fast" lol it beats typing everything over and over.

lol Daniel. Sometimes I'll have been playing for a while and look down at the text only to see a question or something directed towards me just starting to fade away. Then i have to go to console to read it. Sometimes i see that Ive missed a whole string of questions or conversation. I can only imagine how much I actually miss without ever seeing it. So, If i dont sometime respond please dont think me rude

I normally say hi when i join a game but not untill my first death, fairly soon then

When i'm playing a fast paced game i also find it hard to read the messages as i'm normally trying to stay alive. i do try to say n1 or ty etc but usually get killed typing

Rule 3. Always at the end of a game = gg, but fairly guilty if i have to leave sundenly for a phone call or the other half is nagging.

I try to be polite and get really anoyed when some one is abusing me or other players, wish more TSGK players had some sort admin kick for this sort of thing.

I'm usually polite, though probably not enough really in the terms of saying hi and complimenting people for good kills. Though I always say "gg" at the end etc.

I never said a word for the longest time because I simply didn't know how to "say" anything. I didn't think to try to find out how until someone started talking to me during a game.

This is a good thread. I find that the best games I play are when people are talking positive. It creates a mood in the killbox of mutual respect and seems to make the game more fun.

I agree with the hello and bye bye stuff, especially if I recognise a few peeps in the player list but I disagree with the "gg" thing. I say it if it WAS a good game but sometimes you have a stinker or it was just a no-fun game so why say it every time? It is bit like when robotic customer service drones say "Have a nice day" or some other witless platitude - it loses meaning after a while.

Rules 1 and 2 : i try to do it everytime ... but sometimes ... no answer...
(but i know i'm not allways welcome for some opinions...)

Rule 3 : Concerning gg... i'm sorry ... i use it only when it was a good game in my opinion... If many spawn kills or spawn kills nade (even from me...) I don't say it. in past, it was less spawn kill than now. And now ... when u let a player spawn, he does't respect u let him a chance to spawn and kill you ... in back. I try to not spawn kill player who not spawn kill me. For others, i have no mercy.

Rule 14. Don't kill someone who has deliberately avoided spawnkilling you. Ungrateful gits.

Its usually someone with an smg who then follows you around the map

at the beginning of a map I look for those who started looking around or walking and don´t spawnkill the helpless ones. when it comes to spawnkilling I mostly only kill those who spawn near me who could kill me with a few rounds of smg or if they would stop my movement. I try to give them a chance to run a few meters.

SOmetimes i cant shut up and say too much nice things and normal things ] xD
when someone kills me i say lol ALL the TIME!
When i think its even a little funny killing some one i say lol too
and Say almost all the time NS or n1 when killed XD
And that is why my STEAM Friends LIst is FULL!
