I should get the parts for my new comp next week and i got the 64 bit version of home premium with it. I was just curious to see if anyone was running this os and if they had any probs with steam or hl2dm?

I dont know the answer to that but I was thinking of going vista so would like to know if it is easy to get steam and hl2 to run on it ok

Yes i am on my work pc. It work fine, tho i did have probls b4 the gf8800 drivers were out. Its fine now tho, on directx 10 too ^^ As for steam, its messed up on every pc in the world, its steam lol. But no, no marked difference on vista.

My oppinion: VISTA IS CRAP!
lol when it came out 142 patches came out next day.
XP is the best Or 98 widows
But Vista is only looks.... you can get looks with some progs, that change your theme to Vista looking one

I'm with freelancer on this one. Sure, XP after SP2 still has over 80 updates, but they need to just release an SP3. Vista is too expensive, and too unsupported to make n0rm move.
If i do, it will be to linux .
