Got my broadband working again. It wasn’t my ISP’s fault. Apparently, Microsoft Windows Zero Configuration Utility was running my wireless router so I turned it off. This is a big achievement for me because I don’t understand anything I’ve just said.

While online last night I started to think of what (new) weapons might be fun on HL2DM…

Slam Spider: If you spot an activated slam, you can release a robotic spider to run after the person who planted it. The spider would do something nasty to the player.

Physics Crowbar/Stunstick: A 10 metre crowbar/stunstick would be a funny Physics Kill to crowbar junkies

Blowpipe: A blowpipe which releases a slow acting poison resulting in a head explosion would be nice.

Finally, a flame thrower… to add a bit of warmth to the proceedings.

i know its early but im already getting excited about the release of hl2 episode 2 and i was thinking that maybe there will be new wepons for hl2dm!!!

since my fav weps revolve around the grav gun.. (nades, orbs , physics in general) i was thinking it would be cool for another weapon that shoots out something that the grav gun can controll.. perhaps a different kind of grenade? .. like an ice grenade!! lol.

and another thing would be cool is another melee weapon like an ice pick ..

the damage could be 45 and it cold be slower then the stunstick!

EDIT: I just thought of a great melee weapon idea!! It would swing super fast .. like as fast as you can fire the pistol and the damage would be around 10! wouldn't that be crazy!

The anti-anti-SLAM spider! Looks like an anti-SLAM spider, but when the would-be SLAM detractor goes to pick it up, the anti-SLAM spider picks up the offending player and carries him directly through the nearest door, which obviously contains a SLAM. The player has a small amount of time to react by either crowbarring the spider or deactivating the SLAM.


Electromagnet? Charge it with the gravity gun somehow and throw it to disarm groups of people. Or maybe attach crowbar users to walls.

And the most balanced melee weapon that you could possibly add the DM: the katana

A slow homing bolt, similar to the speed you get if you crouch and bounce one off a slam mine, but that will chase its target around the map. Of course you can out run it, but you can never stop for long (would be great for campers, cos they would have to keep moving )

Just think of the fun trying to out run several, eventually you could have dozens chasing you.

Could even hold events to see who could outrun say 10 bolts the longest
