Some people said they get bad fps in combat house and other maps. I was thinking it can't be my brush work in my map cause all where the player can't see I put the nodraw texture on (not rendered texture). So then thinking it's the cube map I added that most maps have.

This is what I found to get better fps

Go to options, video then advanced and click shader detail change it to low. My pc says it can do high (has a star on high) but I get alot better Fames per sec (FPS) when only putting shader detail to low.

in my old pc, regardless of what i puted, i would always get low fps

45fps is a good framerate you know

the recomended settings are not always right, the game can still be laggy and it will be lag free with low settings. you have to experiment around if you don´t have a top pc, some settings affect the fps stronger than others.

its based on hardware, DX hardware version,RAM ammount, CPU Speed is the thing, Source doesnt have any options

thats what lags everything
