Subject description: Game left for a while		  
Any ideas?

If i've played a few games and left for a while 1hr+ with the main menu of hl2 i.e game on but not connected to a server. When i start playing again all of the maps textures are purple, i have to alt tab and press reset, on the windows xp desktop before rejoining game to get textures back??? Question

Its a known bug in most source games. Alt tabbing back to windows usually causes it or running background applications (media players , anti virus scans etc). Amazingly alt tabbing back to windows sometimes fixes it Shocked . Diet had a similar problem recently,
