can´t we get a full reset of points? that would solve it the fastest.

a reset lost name informations (usefull to see if a player was in a clan)...
and all history of frags will be lost... I'm not sure it's a good idea for long date players...

Personally the actually system points don't disturb me. Simply because it's boring to see player say all the time "I playing only for points", typing "Rank" or "Place" for show their superiority against others players, and more. So, the older system was no more balanced than actually, cause a new player (noob Confused ) can get 80k of points in one week with a camper gameplay (dedicated to "Slobodan Prvi" remember him ?) . But,from another point, that's good because it's forced players to use stick/crowbar/physics/gravgre (TSGK Gameplay) http://hl2mp.tsgk.com/index.php?mode=help.
So,if you really want that change call a vote with the Osiris's agreement and if a vote take place for a new system points, (i know a vote is secrete) my vote going to be "No" .

I just want those who play for points only to come back, they are not playing because they will not be able to get any points yet. even though playing for points only is bad I want to play them as they as you already stated have to use tsgk gameplay.

How Teh System works:

» You kill 50 noobs, and you get 90 points.
» A Noob kills you ONCE and you loose 100 points.

thats NOT balenced! i had 36.000 points last month and i only have 9000 now!

hehe right ... when you kill me i lost 100 points... when i kill you i have only 1... Very Happy

and the new system seems to not favorise the TSGK style.

Actually system points :
Quote:

Older system points : All noobs goes on the Serv I only when there is 3-4 or 5 TSGK member present, only for gets more points.A Tsgk member who has 150k of points gets kill by a noob (started with 1000 points) with smg = 100points for the noob.
If all noobs do this , noobs are on Top50 extremly fast Shocked

I'm totaly sure the new system is very better ... but i just cry because too long to be totaly works. But perhaps the idea of Lawitz is good : reset points for all ... only points.

I certainly hope that the points don't get reset lawitz as now i am going up in rank quite nicely and gaining points.
When I had 21000points before the points system changed I was only ranked at 2 to 3000 but after dropping to about 5 to 6000 points I can now realy see how my game play has improved as i'm up to around 13000 points and ranked around the 300 mark which was good for me.
I can realy see how i have got better at the game. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Theres still a lot of new players, so the highest people will continue to fall for awhile. from around 11-12k and down (from what I've seen) is pretty stabilized, people are not moving much anymore. Higher then that though there are larger and larger point gaps between ranks. at 14k you are already at mid 200's in position, which means that for all the thousands of people who play on the servers, only a few you can gain points against constantly. It will probably take a few more months for everyone to be stabilized. I predict when that happens the highest people will be in the low 20k's in points, while the majority of good players fall into the 15-20k range.

there are still to many players who have around 30-40k points and who dont play.
its a fact that u cant stay at 30k points with the new system (only maybe a real real pro), but all the players who have 30k and who dont play.. i dont know, maybe you should just reset their points to 10k??

Today, we have down to 25 000 the points of all the players who were over 24 999 points (20 players have been affected), too much of those players didn't play a lot just to keep high in the rank (some just connect but don't frag to keep activity at 99% and then avoid to be reseted to 1000), we want this new calculation to be effectiv as soon as possible now, sorry for those over 25 000 who were playing normaly (still not enough anyway since lot of ex-players in the top 50 are now under 25 000) but we can't wait anymore.
If those reseted players to 25 000 still inactiv or connect without fragging we will then reset them to 1000 the next time and then finaly the new calculation will be effectiv for everyone.
We will also continu to reset to 1000 those who are inactiv for 3 weeks. We don't know for how long we will continu to run this script, but as long as we think it is a necessity (2 weeks, 2 months, 1 year...).
Thanks.

sod the points, just smell the sweet electric flesh burn from my Stunstick! muhahaha! Nah, I like the points system now, In the old 1 I got my points up to about 60K and from there it could go up to anything to 80K right back down to 40K again, and I never quite did understand how someone could have 100K points when they played for less than 1 day and only have 5000 frags. In the new one I hover around 11K and it occasionly goes up when i'm playing with TSGK.

I know points and rank aren't suposed to matter but its an indication of weather you are getting better or not. well i think so any way.......

the indicator that you get better is when you get a better kpd on good players than you once had.
