I recently learned that physics can be catched by holding the right click button and aiming well. I was doing it with timing the click all the time. Which way is the more effective one? might sound dumb but its not covered anywhere I know.

i used to wait until a physic was coming towards me then press secondary fire but now i just hold it down and aim at the physic to catch it.i find its far better than the first method but others might disagree.i find it sometimes helps when your waiting for someone to chuck something at you to crouch then its easier to catch a object sliding on the floor plus you make yourself a smaller target too(i personaly think this method works quite well with catching the propeller blade too)but this is just the way i do things Very Happy

crouching looks like a good idea, straight throws are easy but the ones with a certain degree downwards or on the floor are hard when standing.

Try crouching when your opponent is launching his physic on you , most of the time it will pass over your beautiful face ; this is a surprise technic , it works very well with the prop blade.

Yes this works often, and i think it may even work if you time it right in stick fights trying it out atm Smile

EDIT also i think that clicking quckly rather than holding is more effective, i think i click quick but i am not sure i just do

Hmmm. I go with holding down right mouse button. No different to when you want to pick up an object - you hold down right mouse button until you have it. Clicking repeatedly means you hold, unhold, hold, unhold... I think there's less of a chance of successfully grabbing with this method. I think... that the gg takes a second to fully charge so holding the right mouse button will ensure full gravity from gg. Might be wrong though.

I'm not bad with gg but I've always admired Lawitz' ability to immediately launch phys object straight back at the player who originally fired it. I think he presses left mouse button (repeatedly?) before the person throws it. I've rarely managed this.

this comes because I press left click immediately after pressing right click, so the physic is in your control just a bit so it still flys towards you but with lesser power. then pressing the left button launches it back to the original thrower. you can notice this status of lowering the speed of the physic and taking control by not pressing left click, it will lead to a suicide. this is not the best kind of doing this because you can´t really aim well and often miss when the player moves to a side. but if you hit its worth a "n1" Cool

I hold down the right click button and follow the physic (on the attackers gun) with my mouse so that when he shoots I will already be in position to catch the physic.

i just fire them back most likely, physics are a waste of time, if i got a orb, i fastorb the prop and it bounce back on the guy head, its funny

Bet lets say u rly ry wanna cath it, id go for folow the prop with your crosshair and crouch when catching it, crouching reduce your hitbox # and decrease % on chance tthat it hit you while increasing % of chance to grab.

This is good on 1v1, crouching = loose speed = easy target but on 1v1 ur only oponent is right there, on pubs its different.

On pubs i usually run back holdng rigt click or just waiting to MOUSE1 it back to the guy depending on which object hes holding.

I´ve come to the conclusion that I was doing it wrong all the time. its a lot easier when crouching and holding right click. I´m catching almost any throw now I´m aware of. I also learned catching nades Very Happy

Now catching nade's is good Smile

I've actually been able to kill someone with a gavgun-nade trick, and take the nade they were about to throw at me, and get another guy! that is worth a "n1"

I recently played with blurpy the rabid and the only way he could kill me with nades was doing kamikaze because I caught almost any normal throw of him Laughing

I think it's not very nice to exhibit this kind of " exploit "...

exploit

Not sure if it's an exploit...We are talking about crouching while holding gg, right?

Anyway, it's a vulnerable tactic:
1. It leaves you stationery - someone else could drop a nade near you. Or the person with the phys object could switch to xbow and finish you.
2. It does not necessarily work e.g. if someone is crouching with gg, the person with object should run up near to him, jump & release - changing the angle of attack
3. It makes you look like you're going to the toilet Laughing

I am training the grav-gun because i am not so good at it. Sometimes I quickly take stick and try to dodge everything that comes to me. And then I try to finish it off. But I think this method has 30% chance to succeed Laughing .

I'm awesome at kamikaze with the nades, and i recently found out "we at TSGK don't do kamikaze"....ummmm

yeah, so i tend to only kamikaze when there's two or more people i can take out, so two kills and one suicide are one kill Smile

Don't crouch when u see me with the blade, i make sure it hits u by bouncing it off the floor , so unless you jump at the right time, you'll get hit. If u do catch the blade.... well.... then.... good for you. You just killed me.
