I've never played CS and after watching the trailer the idea of being killed and then having to sit out the rest of the map would bore me. I'd either be jumping servers or just stop playing. It my be more realistic but when i'm playing games i just want to respawn and carry on _________________

Yeah it does a bit, and CS:S is not realistic.
An M4 that doesn't kill with a hs is unrealistic. An AK that sprays around the target from 6ft is unrealistic. Reloading a clip where half the remaining bullets of the old clup get put into the new clip is unrealistic. Alot of that game is just damn annoyin and unrealistic, for everything else theres mastercard. But at least valve doesn't break it wiv updates like they did HL2:DM. _________________

I just played the battlefield 3 beta it was ok my frame rates were mostly 25-30 and about 20-22 when there's too much dust and smoke around.
30 frames per sec for me is unplayable I don't think the game is optimized very well.
E.g. out in the open 30 frames per sec and then just looking at the floor 30 frames per sec I guess trees and other models are always rendered for some reason.
I snipered a few people in the face and stabed some people in the back and I got owned to haha.
I liked battlefield 2 more maybe cause the health is better and not like COD.
how about u change settings before u say something about optimization?
on my, not so good PC game runs good with some settings on high/ultra (some settings are disabled in BETA just like in alpha i guess) without AA at 1280x720.
Game seems good so far, only what sux its BETA, lots of bugs etc. i hope they are gonna fix ALL of them before they release the game. Didnt like they have passworded 64player servers, even tho people are sharing password its hard to get in cuz those servers are almost always full.
Anyways, i have pre-ordered the game, cant wait for full release
