There's no hacking involved. They get your account by you telling them your password. It's just plain stupidity.

I have visited some bad websites, like some of those with free stim games, and never had any problems.

They all ask some sort of login, registration, steam login, etc etc.....

thats when people do the mess, cause they fall in that login/registration thing... specially in those with same skins/themes as steam.

So, why, people, that are already logged in steam, and they see a page like that, and they do the login again..... O_o...


i dont think, that if u only click the link, it will automaticly gather your personal data. i think, that there is always the 2nd process (another button, login, etc)

Unless maybe they do the link as already a selfextractor/executable file.

Dunno...

they could use some sort of exploit/bug of your browser to install hidden software that steals or logs your password.

Could be a .exe file that finds your login some how.
Like the ep3 pictures one, or free steam games lol.
