how do I set a lan server up so I can play with others in a lan network without everyone crashing every 10 mins or so? is the "create server" better or should I use the dedicated server tool? does sv_lan have to be 0 or 1? any other important options to set?

I once had it setup but it would crash all the time after playing for a short time. just like you crash while playing online but much more often, you needed to be lucky to survive till the end of the map. it would crash more often when there were more than 2 players. that was 2 years ago or so, not sure if it got fixed since then.
