anytime I want to import a custom spray the game tells me that I don´t have the rights for it, but I have admin profile and the files are not protected in any way. how can I manually put them in the folder for it and what does the file have to be called and what does the picturesize has to be?

i'm not sure if this works for everyone but you can try this :

the IMG has to be a targa file like this : IMG.tga

you put the file in this directory :

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\Myprofile\half-life 2 deathmatch\

if you need to convert picture files into the targa format : Irfanview is a great and powerful freeware

I also use Irfanview to resize them

the image paterns I use are 256 ko (and 256 x 256 Pixels) and they work fine (I don't really know the size limit ?)

found the solution!
I changed the language to english in steam, then it worked!
and yes 256 is the maximum size.
