A new version is up, from scratch, completly rewrited.

Change / Additions for v1.40:

- Complete rewrite of the plugin for better optimization and server performance.
- Addition of a new file dllinfo.kvf into cfg folder for further updates.
- Streak announcement can now be recorded into server's side demo.
- Change Joinserver sound configuration to be inside CFG file instead the streak file.

Anything related with the chat fonction has been removed for now in order to not conflict with mani admin plugin:
- Green text.
- TDM Team chat (red/blue).
- SPAM Protection.

SMM Version does now require Metamod:Source 1.8.0 and over.

Have any CVars changed? Or can I just upgrade the plugin and my streak sounds config will be fine?

The streak file is exactly the same, execpt that the join server sound is now set inside the CFG instead, so if you use join server sound, remove it from the keeper_streaks.txt and set the following CVAR into the keeper_sounds.cfg:

kp_joinserver_sound_file "keeper/joinserver.mp3"

(keeper/joinserver.mp3 is an exemple).

Concerning the keeper_sounds.cfg CVAR still the same for those who remain present, 6 removed and 3 new have been added:

Added since 1.40:
kp_min_stats_players
kp_broadcast_sourcetv
kp_joinserver_sound_file

Removed since 1.40:
kp_green_chat
kp_disable_ad
kp_mapchange_refresh
kp_spam_time
kp_spam_message
kp_add_mani_filter

In a nutshell if you don't use the join server sound you can then just upgrade the plugin, add dllinfo.kvf to cfg folder and keep your CFG and TXT the same.

And don't forget to upgrade to Metamod:Source 1.8.0 if you are using the SMM version of the plugin.

I think theres another Bot bug.
First Blood sounds plays for the real player and then after sometime when a Bot gets a first kill to. (First Blood sound 2 times bot and player)

while trying to generate new cfg files, i get this error.

Happens on normal deathmatch didn't happen on the update before this newer version came out. Confused

This problem got annoying so I turned off first blood sound for now till a fix is made...

I'm running a linux server and for some reason when i have the mod installed right, i restart my server and come to find that when i try and switch the map with sourcemod admin. and it never connects and you have to reconnect to the server because the server resets.

Do you run the plugin in VSP or SMM mode, what others plugin version are intalled on the server, etc etc.

If you have Meta mod installed then you would prefere to run the SMM version and then remove the VSP one from the addons folder, delete the keeper_sounds.vdf, keeper_sounds.dll, keeper_sounds_i486.so which are located inside the addons folder.
If you have the IP of the server it will be easier to see what is running on it.

Make sure that the file tgjoin.mp3 is inside /sound/keeper/ on the server, and also in your local folder /sound/keeper/.
If this still doesn't work, the mp3 file format could be the problem.

i am using the plugin but i do not have a the headshot streak
here is my cfg file if you would look at it and let me know what you think i would appreciate it...i get a missing entity error when someone gets a headshot...also i tried to change the join server sound and now i cannot get it to work either..

here is my cfg file if you would look at it and let me know what you think i would appreciate it...i get a missing entity error when someone gets a headshot...also i tried to change the join server sound and now i cannot get it to work either..

Check your current version of Keeper Plugin and be sure that you are using the lastest one which is 1.40, this could fix the join sound problem.
Concerning the Headshot, if you use a custom sound, make sure that it is at the right format and available on both the server and the client, also both files must be the same, do not rewrite the orginal file with another one using the same name, this will definitly cause problem if a player has previously joined a server using the orginal sound file.
If the problem persiste, fully reinstall Keeper Plugin and make sure everything is working before changing any default value, if after changing a value or uploading another sound file than the default one the sound isn't working, this is likely that your sound file is badly formated.

A new version is up, with the same binary for both VSP and SMM version.

Change / Additions for v1.50:

- The plugin binaries are now hybrid, which mean that 1 binary can be used for both VSP and SMM.
- Code improvement and minor bugs fixes.

SMM Version does now require Metamod:Source 1.8.0 and over.

every sound works now but after fixing things i had a bigger problem.my server crashes on every mapchange. i have isolated the file that causes it to crash, keeper_sounds_i486.so, do i really need this file or i need a new one? what do i do?

Make sure you aren't running both the VSP and SMM file, and also if you have the server IP, this will help checking what others plugin are running, which version, the OS (windows or linux) etc etc.

Indeed, it seems like you had both the VSP and SMM version installed, currently you'r running the VSP version, which mean that you can safely get ride of the following files:

    Delete the folder /addons/keeper/
    And delete the file /addons/metamod/keeper_sound.vdf

ok if i delete these files everything should work right. i no longer have the headshot sound again. i completely reinstalled keeper and everything works but headshot/headhunter. i will try to delete those files and see if there is a change

So, now it looks like you are running the SMM version of Keeper Sound.
When you reinstall Keeper Sound, inside the Addons folder, you have 2 folders (keeper, metamod) and 3 files (keeper_sounds.dll, keeper_sounds.vdf, keeper_sounds_i486.so).

You can't upload all those folder / files into your server, you have to either upload the VSP or the SMM version.

The following instruction concern only the files/folders located into the addons folder.
For the VSP version, you must upload only keeper_sounds.vdf and keeper_sounds_i486.so (don't upload keeper_sounds.dll since your server is running on Linux), do not upload the folder keeper and metamod.

For the SMM version, you must upload only the folder keeper and the folder metamod.

Should be correctly working.

If you just uploaded the full content of addons for Keeper Sounds, you will have to remove the binaries before uploading the new one.

Which mean that the following files/folders must be deleted before uploading the one that you want:

Delete the folder and all its content /addons/keeper/
Delete the file /addons/metamod/keeper_sound.vdf
If present delete the file /addons/metamod/keeper_sound_mm.vdf
Delete the file /addons/keeper_sounds_i486.so
Delete the file /addons/keeper_sounds.vdf

Then upload the binaries version that you'd like following these instructions:

Score retention when reconnecting changes the score. Such as 13/9 to
3/9 or once in my case it changed back to my last crash. 12/9 to 7/7.
