No, I am not using sv_pure 1 so that is not the issue unfortunately.

Also, we are all noticing that when an opponent kills yourself with a headshot, the text comes up and says "headshot your name", not "headshot opponents name". This does not seem to make sense. Sad

Ok, can you try to set kp_jihad_sound_file to "keeper/jihad.mp3" and a reboot of the server will be needed, then delete hl2dm/sound/keeper/jihad.mp3 from your local file on your hl2dm steam folder, then, connect to the server and tell us if the mp3 is downloaded (considering you still have keeper/jihad.mp3 installed on your server and fast download).
Can you also join your jihadlight.mp3 file on this post, i'll then give a try.

Yes this bug is known, concern only the text message not the log, happend only when kp_headshot_sound_mode is different than 0 (other text events mode are also affected), it is going to be fixed at the next release (soon).

OK, well.......ur..........I found the problem Rolling Eyes

Sorry for the trouble guys but all this was is the fact I was not restarting the server! Doh!

Anyways, thanks for the help, and it is good to know that you are working on a fix for the "headshot" player identification!

Also, regarding the occasional loss of explosion sounds, the feedback I am receiving is that the benefits of disabling the ringing far out weigh the negatives of occasionally loosing the explosion sounds.

After months of work, the new release of Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin is out tagged 1.15, it is a major release.

Change / Additions for v1.15:

Mainly, the new release now fully support streak events.
If you do use Mani Admin Plugin you must turn the mani_quake_sounds 0 in mani_quake_sounds.cfg since Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin will now fully replace it.

Addition of a new file keeper_streaks.txt.
Addition of the /me command in chat to trigger emote.

Change the color for TDM player's chat, fully red for rebels, fully blue to combines.

- Kill Streaks is now tracked and announced (Domination, Ramapage, Killing Spree...).
- Humiliation is now tracked and announced.
- Simultaneous Kills is now tracked and announced.
- Multikill is now announced and tracked.
- First Blood is now announced and tracked.
- Team Killer is now announced and tracked.
- Victim of events/streaks can now be tracked and announced.
- Join server announcement added.

- Possiblity to create custom events, per weapon, streak with keeper_streaks.txt.

- Addition of Spam filter with 2 CVAR: kp_spam_time and kp_spam_message.

- Addition of kp_green_chat to change player chat to color green.
- Addition of kp_mapchange_refresh to reload plugin configuration at each map change.
- Addition of kp_enable_streaks, kp_record_events and kp_record_headshots for a better management of what should be logged/triggered.

Additions of kp_hlx_psay, kp_hlx_csay for HLStatsX users.

The headshot announcements / logs is now more flexible per weapons.
Many bugs fixes and improvements.

If you are running Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin < v1.15, you'r strongly encouraged to upgrade as soon as possible to v1.15.
Also, Consortium will now support Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin v1.15 actions/events only.

Bloody good work, read through all the changes and I gotta say it sounds bloody brilliant. If I understood it all (without setting up a server myself) then it makes servers sounds and events extremely custommizable. Thanks for a great addition. Cool

Yes, on our KBH servers, I have a different KAMIKAZE sound than everybody else. ElementalDragon has his own stick kill sound. We are working on getting a sound if you stick kill him Smile

When I get to some kind of agreement on how to count kamikazes, I might start having streaks for those. I'd like a sound/message for somebody that accomplishes 3 or more multi kamikazes. But the way it is now, they get reset on the first kill. But I'm sure I can come up with something Smile

hey
the plugin works fine and cool but it has one error.
I want to change the kp_head_hit_sound_file but its jammed. I got this in the keeper_sounds.cfg kp_head_hit_sound_file "buttons/button10.wav"

when I enter kp_head_hit_sound_file "buttons/button10.wav" or kp_head_hit_sound_file "" in server console and then check if the sound was changed by entering only kp_head_hit_sound_file, it gives me the default value "kp_head_hit_sound_file" = "npc/sniper/sniper1.wav"

I tried reloading the plugin, restarting the server but it doesnt help.
can someone help me solve this issue?

I just added keepers plugin 1.3. the cfg file leads to the quake folder but there was only a "keeper" folder with the sounds so I renamed it to "quake". how do I find out if the sounds work? the plugin works, I see the box at the top telling me its running keepers plugin and I also got the chat green so it definitely works. is there are way to test the sounds without a player?

edit: found a player and it works fine. easier than I thought, no problems. is there a way to assign a sound to a weapon kill like "looser" for smg and rpg? I once saw a server like that but don´t know how to do that.

Change / Additions for v1.32:

Mainly a bugs fix release.

- Eventscript say sound is now compatible.
- Fixed kp_head_hit_sound_file sticking to default value.
- Fixed Console say crash (introduced in 1.30).
- Addition of kp_add_mani_filter to bypass Mani-Admin-Plugin ingame command.
- Code improvement.

The 1.32 update is preventing the 3 of our servers that run HRCBot from starting up. The last line in the console log is

hrcbot namesfile found


I've had to revert to 1.30 for these 3 servers. The one that doesn't run the bot, runs 1.32 fine. All 4 servers are identical in setup/plugins (MM:S 1.80 / SM 1.2.4), and by process of elimination (stop server, unload a plugin, start server) have come to the conclusion of the bot being the culprit.

Hope this is a small hiccup Smile

could i ask for a feature here?
id like the future versions to have a cvar that toggles the solid chat colouring on/off. because now when teamplay is on, the whole chat is displayed in red/blue depending on the team.

the green chat works only if kp_green_chat is set to 1 AND mp_teamplay is set to 0.

if mp_teamplay is set to 1, then you have all the combine chat in blue and all the rebel chat in red. regardless of what kp_green_chat is set to.
i want a cvar like kp_solid_msgcolors that would toggle the solid chat colouring on and off. if that cant be done, i at least want to have my regular chat colouring. Smile

Indeed, at the previous and current version the colored chat for teamplay is not modifiable.
We will be thiking about it to further versions of the plugin if possible.

The autor of HRCBot has been contacted, Keeper is trying to get more info about HRCBot code in order to fix it.

Hi,

Suicide isn't considered as a sound event, therefor it is not possible to assign a sound to it via Keeper Sound Plugin.
This may be added to further version.
