Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin Subject description: Current version v2.3.1.0 |
|
After finaly a long period of devellopement and test, Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin is now officialy out for the HL2dm Community.
Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin is the new version of the popular "Keeper's Original HL2Plugin" which was the first plugin for the HL2dm Community to allow weapon hit scan, headshot detection and more.
Fully refreshed and improved, this new version got all that the old plugin offered and expand the actions detection to provide more excitement for the players.
It is directly related to the new actions at the TSGK Stats and TSGK Servers that you may have noticed since a couple of weeks available there:
http://hl2mp.tsgk.com/index.php?mode=actions
Here is a description of all the new actions that Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin is able to detect which can be tracked by any standard stats application such as Psychostats and HLStatsX:
Kill Streaks: Kill Streak actions are cumulative kills, Dominating, Rampage, Killing Spree etc...
First Blood: Triggered by a player who gets the first frag at the start of the round.
Multikill: Triggered by a player who frags more than 1 player at once without being killed by its own frag.
Multikill derivatives at TSGK are the following:
Double Kill: 2 players fragged at once.
Triple Kill: 3 players fragged at once.
Quadruple Kill: 4 players fragged at once.
etc...
Headshot: Triggered by a player performing a headshot with a .357, resulting of a sudden frag.
Kamikaze: Triggered by a player who frags a player but is being killed with its own frag at the same time.
Kamikaze derivatives at TSGK are the following if more than one player is fragged:
Kamikaze x2: 2 players fragged at once while performing a Kamikaze.
Kamikaze x3: 3 players fragged at once while performing a Kamikaze.
etc...
Post Mortem: Triggered by a player who frags one or more players while being dead.
Simultaneous Kill: Triggered by 2 players fragging each others at the same time.
Humiliation: Triggered by an humiliation weapon.
HL2dm servers operators can download and install Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin to enhance the gaming experience on their servers, it is also strongly advised for server owners who run the old version to upgrade it to the newest one.
Upgrade procedure and installation are available here:
http://forum.tsgk.com/viewtopic.php?p=52376#52376
Also a the kvf file which is present inside the cfg folder is subject to change depending the HL2DM update, you can find a new one which is up-to-date here:
http://forum.tsgk.com/viewtopic.php?mode=attach&id=8635
Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin is fully compatible with the HL2 DeathMatch Consortium.
Available for SMM, VSP Linux and Windows.
Thanks to [KBH] Keeper for this enjoyable server addition.
Enjoy.

The code generated at the triggered action in the log is close to an infinity of possibility, the keeper_streaks.txt is extremly customisable and can reach a complex structure.
Above was just the list of the codes that are generated from the default keeper_streaks.txt.
The parameters for a code are, death, kill, weapon, kill at once, kill streak, death streak, while being alive, while being death, killer, victim, headshot, team, everything is possible...

league plugin conflicts? |
|
Both this shiney new plugin and the keeper league plugin (we use the Server for CU matches) use the kp_score_resume command for restoring a score after a reconnection due to crash/timeout/wrong button/etc
Before, I just switched the old keeper_hl2 plugin's score resume feature off and let the league plugin handle score resuming, but now both the sound and league plugins use the same command - so will this cause a conflict between the 2 plugins? Will there be a chance that both plugins will resume the score at the same time, causing a score doubling effect?

No conflict.
But, Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin kp_score_resume will always overwrite the cvar, so if you set kp_score_resume 0 to League and kp_score_resume 2 to Keeper sound, then 2 will be set, if 2 to league and 0 to Keeper sound then 0 will be set.

I can't get the server to load the custom sounds using the new plugin
Okay.. All my custom sounds on the server are in:
srcds_l/hl2mp/sound/marcquake
and I have the following settings in my keeper sounds config file (this is not the complete config file, just the sound paths)
Code: |
kp_hit_sound_file = "marcquake/norm_hit.wav"
kp_head_hit_sound_file = "marcquake/hs_hit.wav"
kp_headshot_sound_file = "marcquake/headshot3.mp3"
kp_postmortem_sound_file = "marcquake/postmortem.mp3"
kp_jihad_sound_file = "marcquake/jihad.mp3"
|
But everytime I reboot the server, the following errors appear in the server log:
Code: |
L 02/17/2009 - 23:23:30: = marcquake/norm_hit.wav - does not exist on the server, disabling sound for hitsound
L 02/17/2009 - 23:23:30: = marcquake/hs_hit.wav - does not exist on the server, disabling sound for head hitsound
L 02/17/2009 - 23:23:30: = marcquake/headshot3.mp3 - does not exist on the server, disabling sound for headshot sound
L 02/17/2009 - 23:23:30: = marcquake/jihad.mp3 - does not exist on the server, disabling sound for jihad sound
L 02/17/2009 - 23:23:30: = marcquake/postmortem.mp3 - does not exist on the server, disabling sound for post mortem sound
|
What am I doing wrong? Mani on the server loads the custom quake sounds fine from that same folder (mani quake sound config shown below)
Code: |
"firstblood" marcquake/firstblood2.mp3
"humiliation" marcquake/humiliation.mp3
"multikill" marcquake/multikill.mp3
"monsterkill" marcquake/monsterkill.mp3
"ultrakill" marcquake/ultrakill.mp3
"godlike" marcquake/godlike.mp3
"headshot" marcquake/headshot2.mp3
"dominating" marcquake/dominating.mp3
"holyshit" marcquake/holyshit.mp3
"killingspree" marcquake/killingspree.mp3
"ludicrouskill" marcquake/ludicrouskill.mp3
"prepare" marcquake/prepare.mp3
"rampage" marcquake/rampage.mp3
"unstoppable" marcquake/unstoppable.mp3
"wickedsick" marcquake/wickedsick.mp3
"teamkiller" marcquake/teamkiller.mp3
|
but the keeper sounds plugin cannot seem to find the files I've specified. I've double and treble checked that the files do exist at that path - Do I need to add anything to the mani sounds config as well? Or is there an option in keeper sounds to specifiy where the sounds are located? Or have I missed something?

I probably went a bit too far with the php coding... adding = to all the variables of the script... the cfg maker has been fixed.
Thanks.

Hi
Ever since i upgraded to this new version my HLstats Premium crash/restart on every map change and having 2 servers with different timelimits the stats are crashing/restarting on one map change and then the other
Im not sure if it's something HLstats have done or it's the plugin causing it
but as i said it started when i upgraded
keeper_sounds.cfg looks like this
kp_score_resume "1"
kp_disable_ring "0"
kp_record_stats "1"
kp_hit_sounds "0"
kp_hit_sound_file "buttons/button10.wav"
kp_head_hit_sound_file "npc/sniper/sniper1.wav"
kp_headshot_announce_weapons "25"
kp_headshot_sound_mode "1"
kp_headshot_sound_file "keeper/headshot.mp3"
kp_headshot_text "HeadShot"
kp_jihad_sound_mode "1"
kp_jihad_sound_file "keeper/suicide.mp3"
kp_jihad_text "Kamikaze"
kp_postmortem_sound_mode "0"
kp_postmortem_sound_file ""
kp_postmortem_text "Post Mortem"
Any ideas??

Hi,
The new version doesn't change the way how start/end of the rounds are handled, but it got an optimised weaponstats output to avoid spamming the log with useless row, which greatly improve the statistics tracking and perfectly work with any standard version of HLStatsX.
HLStatsX Premium has turned to a complete proprietary application and it is not possible to get a single piece of information about this issue, since the plugin show no issue with standard HLStatsX it is likely that the problem could be Premium related only.
Best solution would be to contact Premium support and request for more information about this issue as they would be able to debug that in their side and find any conflict.
It appears that Premium would not handle the stats correctly if kp_record_stats "1", only them could tell why.
If you ever get an interesting reply from them (technical one), let us know, as further improvement could be done if possible.
Thanks.

heres a reply
Dear Customer,
As you are not using the HLstatsX Premium plugin we cannot see a directly related problem to HLstatsX Premium. Please note that the only thing we do, is sending RCON commands.
There could be only two possibilities for any negative interactions. First, check where you set the logaddress. This should definitely be in the autoexec.cfg and not in the server.cfg
Second, please check if the other plugin reacts on any of the commands HLstatsX Premium uses.
Please note, HLstatsX Premium runs smoothly on many servers with your Mani versions and can be viewed as well proofed

Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin doesn't not react to incoming rcon from HLStatsX neither interact with any log command as logaddress.
You may try to turn kp_record_stats to 0 in keeper_sound.cfg.
kp_record_stats "0" and see if this fix the problem, a restart of the server will be required if you do a change a cvar in keeper_sound.cfg.
Let us know if this fix the problem as we will then check that out and see if further compatiblilty of weaponstats with Premium could be done since it sound to be the only stats system causing problem.
If turning kp_record_stats off doesn't fix the problem then the problem will be completly independant from the new plugin with premium.
But the fact that the stats shutdown and restart is already a sign that it is not plugin related, as Keeper's Streak Sounds Plugin doesn't control premium proccess.
Thanks.

Ok
Turned kp_record_stats to "0" and it looks like the stats don't crash on the map change
How does the Streak side of the plugin work as HLstatsx Premium already has this features ?

You must register the actions code at HLStatX via your admin panel and assign points to them, the codes are the following, all of them are player actions:
Multikill = multikill + kills number, so a double kill would be multikill2, a triple, multikill3 etc etc.
First Blood = firstblood.
Post Mortem = post_mortem.
Kamikaze = jihad + kills numbers, so a simple Kamikaze would be jihad, a double Kamikaze would be jihad2 etc etc.
Headshot = headshot.
The kill streak like dominating, rampage etc... will be implemented at next version of the plugin.

Plugin Help Subject description: Can't get the new Keeper Sound plugin to work :( |
|
Hi all,
I finally got around to upgrading to this new version but I cannot seem to get it to work. My old version worked fine. I followed instructions for the VSP Standard installation and here is how I have the files structured in the server:
Under "addons":
keeper_sounds_i486.so (I have Linux)
keeper_sounds.vdf
keeper_noimpulse_hl2
keeper_noimpulse_hl2_I486.so
The "noimpulse_hl2" files were left over so I was not sure whether to remove those or not. So, I tried it with them in the folder, and then removed them and tried again. No luck either way.
Also, here is the "keepers_sound.cfg" file I now have in the cfg folder. Any help would be appreciated!

Loss of sounds? |
|
Hi all,
Is anyone else having an issue with loosing explosion sounds when turning on the "disable ringing" feature? It seems that when I have this turned on, the ringing certainly disappears, but for a few players, they also loose grenade and RPG explosion sounds.
This issue is sporadic with only some players impacted.
Any help would be appreciated!

Just as a note, i believe there is a conflict between the league plugin and the headshot plugin, it is possible that has passed over to streak sounds too. TSF ended up removing the league plugin in the end, due to the double score effect regardless of cvar settings. Just a note

*bump* Any idea yet about the other sounds disappearing and what might be causing that?

kp_disable_ring is an experimental feature of the plugin (found by mistake), unfortunatly the control of this fonction is very restricted by the engine itself and then indeed some explosion sound may also disapear at certain time for certains players, currently it is not possible to improve it and likely to not be possible in the futur too, it may even be simply withdrawn at the next release, no confirmation yet.
Better turn the cvar to 0 if you wish to avoid the randomness of explosion sound, if not, it is confirmed that explosion sound could be missed by some players when the cvar is turned to 1.

It seems to be lag related. The more time it takes the client to communicate with the server the more chance that they will not hear the explosion sound. In addition, the more action that's taking place might have the same effect.
I will probably leave it in, but as a client option instead of a server option. That way if they want to experiment with it they can turn it on and off.

Both plugins "SET" the score, instead of adding them in. Do you have any other plugins running? Also, what versions of my plugins are you running?

Sounds not loading |
|
Hi all,
I am trying to change the default jihad sound and I cannot seem to get the config file to direct the user to download. I use a fast download server so I have the mp3 file in both "keeper" folders, both on the game server and the web server.
On the game server the file is under: hl2mp/sound/keeper/
On the web server the file is under: gamefiles/sound/keeper/
The fast download is directed to under "gamefiles" and all other fast download functions work.
Here is the command line I have in the "keeper_sounds.cfg" file:
kp_jihad_sound_file "keeper/jihadlight.mp3" //Path to Kamikaze sound
The name of the file is "jihadlight.mp3"
Does anyone have any ideas why this configuration might not be working?
Thanks!

Are you using sv_pure 1, if it is the case be sure that the folder sound/keeper/ is allowed from disk in pure_server_whitelist.txt.
A reboot of the server may be needed for the change of pure_server_whitelist.txt to be taken into consideration.
Code: |
sound\keeper\... allow_from_disk |
