I hope this is ok to post on your forums, not sure of the protocol here, let me know if its not OK.

This is Rogue77` from the Skul`Shock server and the Hamr`Clan. I know some of your members play on our servers from time to time and wanted to extend an invite to partake in our Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Tournament we are having March 1st to the 14th - our "March Madness."

The details are below and can also be found here or below.

We are currently accepting applicants for our March Madness 2v2 Fundraiser. Each individual will donate $10. Winners will receive 50% of the pot, second place 30% of the pot, and third place 20%. All you need is to find one partner. Even if you think you have no way of winning, join up anyway for the fun, experience, and little donation to Skul`Shock.

Format: Double Elimination 2v2 March Madness Tournament.

Registration: Accept 2 player teams registration until February 22 at Midnight CST **16-24 teams**

Bracket Time Frame: The Tournament will last 2 weeks (Mar 1 - Mar 14). We will draw up brackets on February 23rd. Make sure to include your available times in the registration. Activity Coordinators will Reserve a Match at corresponding times with other teams. Please do not post your available times here as we do not want teams preying on the weak to sign up their times.

Match Play: Matches will be played at assigned times and must be on the Skul'Shock 2v2 Server. If a team misses their assigned match, they have to work out an available time with the other team within 1 day. If this can not be happen and no report made to the Activity Coordinators, that team will forfeit. A match is the best of 3 maps to 75 team kills for each map. Each team will select 1 map and if a 3rd map is needed then the teams will agree on a 3rd map (Same map can not be chosen). Here are the list of available maps:

2play
aim_arena_b6
dm_adams_b29
dm_bathroom_crazy_v3
dm_biohazard
dm_biological
dm_bitch_house
dm_blades
dm_cliff_house
dm_combat_house_v5_final
dm_hang_em_high_b6-fix
dm_hotel_california
dm_matar_v3
dm_overwatch_bounce
dm_please
pg_stalkx

Proof of Play: A screenshot will be taken before a map begins and after the completion of the map. A 3rd party, if possible, should observe game play on Source TV, in case a team quits in the middle of play. Please email the screenshot immediately after completion to activities@skulshockcommunity.com

Game Play: Everything is played at Skul`Shock default settings (Infinite Sprint, 275 Gravity, Startup Weapons [Gav gun, crowbar, pistol, magnum, shotgun, smg1, ar2, 2 greandes]) There are no combine balls, slams, and +25 health packs (There are + 10 health and suit vials and also health and suit chargers). Teams agree on exceptional terms before the match begins, e.g. are we using map expoits if there are any, etc.

Pleas post your team on the Forum, or if you are looking for a teammate, also post here.

Hope to see you there!

We played your clan/collection of regulars before, and I might say it wasn't that pleasant of an experience. The game settings are not the norm in the community so a fair warning to anyone who joins, you are in for a roller-coaster ride of crazy unlimited sprinting lol.

secondly your servers are state side,so to play under those settings competitively, people joining up should be around that vicinity to be able to keep up in game.

lastly, From earlier dealings, What you promise is not what you get, so a final warning to anyone who is joining up, don't be afraid of disappointment.

Adding money to the situation might lead to many hard feelings so this message goes out to anyone willing to sink the time and effort into such venture.

I wish you the best of luck, but I don't think such a tournament would be good for the community, that's my 2 cents Very Happy

The servers are indeed state side, in Chicago, IL actually. I highly recommend anyone come try out our servers. I know there are some of you that currently enjoy our brand of awesome - Skul`Shock style play Smile

Look me up if you want to get in the tournament or just join in for a fun night of fragging. It is true that it is unlimited sprint, the best part of the servers if you ask me Smile Always fast always fun!

Agreed I was there. Spawning with all weapons, low gravity, and unlimited sprint takes every bit of fun out of a great game. (map control, resource control, movement) But good luck to you anyway.

Why is no1 mentioning the fact that on skul shock servers its 100% pointless to play due to the fact that you spawn with a shotgun that does SO much damage that you need no other weapon from any distance.. This is honestly no joke..I played a map on skul shock once....on Lockdown..and i got EVERY kill in an entire maps time (20mins or so) with the shotgun and ALL in 1 shot...from ANY distance...i came to the conclusion that a game type where you just point a spread weapon roughly at an enemy and fire and kill is not for me xD
Realy the damage on shotgun is so immense xD You should all go play a map just so you can see WTF!!! xD
