The findings in mice may lead to new treatments for high blood pressure, the Science journal reported. |
Sir, we would like you to eat six tins of Baked Beans per day, at least two servings of cauliflower and some cheese. This well help combat your high blood pressure, some of the side effects may include you farting uncontrollably xD

That's pretty darn cool.
But the question remains, is it actually H2S leading to the relaxation blood vessels or could it be another metabolite from the CSE enzyme causing the relaxation? Sure, they used methacholine on the CSE deficient mice, but if methacholine acts through the CSE enzyme (I have no idea if it does) there is going to be no affect, as the enzyme isn't there.
Random thoughts for the idle mind. I think I need to get to a library or something.

Some poor post-grad researcher will one day google this subject and come across this thread. And they'll go WTF!

They may go WTF, but they may also go, this drunken bastard has a point. Then again, if they find their way to a forum that has TSGK Clan in front of all search results, they probably shouldn't be a doctor, or they shouldn't be doing post-doc research when blasted.
