I used to play a wonderfully quaint game called Tactical Ops: Assault on Terror years ago which was a Full conversion Mod of Unreal Tournament. It was like CS 1.6. Anyway back to the point.
It had a wonderful little mod on some servers called FatBoy Mod, basically the premise being your player model grew 'fatter' the better your KPD, and 'skinnier' the less KPD (Or worse than 1.0 KPD).
By the end of the round you'd end up with -
Afew really fat people (And I mean 3 * the width of the original model, there guns dissappear into there fat arms) who pwn like nothing.
A few normal people who do an ok job and stay normal.
A few stick insects running round the map becuase they can't kill anyone.
I'm just wondering if anything like this is available as a Mod for HL2:DM or the HL2 engine in general? I think it be quite funny to see some Fat Ass combine running round the map pwning everyone.

that mod was excellent, i used to play it alot on lan with my brothers and cousins. the fat and thin thing is an in game mutator, as you know unreal tourney is super ultra modifiable, you have small mini conversation called mutators and the big mods. so yeah, that mutator made people who score well fatter, hence easier to hit and people who die a lot thinner hence harder to hit. so the mod makers or who ever ran the server just took the mutator from unreal tourney and plugged it in, no time it took them
ok that's my knowledge as far as ut goes i loved that game, wish they had hl2dm instagib that would rock, well you can play a match with only xbow if thats the case, but nothing beats giblets all over the level
added later: just googled it lol tactical ops for ut3 should be fantastic

hahahahaha You probably remember my favourite map then Rapid Waters, the one with the big waterfall thingy.
I loved that map, I loved that game, however my computer now refuses to run the game online
There is actually a beautifully crafted remake of that map for CS:S. I think this is the link to it, http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/6409
What I loved about it was its hitbox reg. Becuase the game engine was that old you actually had to aim a bit further than there model was to hit them (Like you do with the XBow) but all the weapons were insta hit, ahhh the memories
Is anyone familiar wit hthe Source Engine (Modding wise) and wether it would be easy to make some kind of mod like this.
As far as im aware all the mod would do is change the dimensions of the model, but leave the hitbox dimensions intact.

The main issue here is - will there be someone to offer their server to run a modded version of dm?

Side note, anyone know what happened to VERC (Valve Editing Resource Center), apparently it contains alot of the information I need, but its down down for a while from what I can gather from other forums
