Just wondering, Crytek has 3 times more modding support than Valve, if anyone wants to learn how to use the sanbox, let me know and ill will help!

anyone interested?

(ps: If you have the demo, the sandbox works aswell, but is outdated.
both in the demo and full game the sanbox installer is the the game's root folder)

Don't get me wrong the graphics look good, but every time I see the gameplay it looks so stiff like the dev's are new to this.

That is what happens when you hire more graphics artists than programmers.

no point in modding a game that no one plays

crysis has more players than HL2DM dude

i cant belive how you guys are reacting to other games, one guy says it's like far cry, and i played far cry, it has nothing to do with crysis, another guy says the gameplay is stiff, if by stiff you mean linear, then you're out of your mind

I'm confused, it's like preaching for a new religion, you guys want to see a comparison for hl2dm?

HL2DM versus Instant Action.

Place all IA elements to HL2DM, switch the gravity gun for the nanosuit, and there you have it. in fake DX10 you can use physics the same way as the gravity gun.

let me shorten this up..Crysis is interactive, you can o what you want, let me put it up this way.

Crytek gives you the ingrediants, and some people cook better than others, Crysis's gameplay aspects as being those ingrediants, will make a diferent cake than other people, some people will cook awesome things, some people wont cook shit. that's how the gameplay is

Hell nah, the game is far from perfect, alot of people found the multiplayer complex, i didn't know how exactly..

And the storyline was awesome too, it's totaly diferent than HL series, but i enjoyed almost everything about the story, it wasn't as intense as i wanted, and thats the thing that saddens me about the game, it could have some intensity, not Eli-gets-killed intensity but something strong.

i think you all have a problem with HL2DM.. maybe you guys didn't play it long enought yet

anyway i'm off, going to bake ma cake online

It's not that big of a deal honestly, and all I meant about stiff wasn't linear gameplay I mean the in game characters really look stiff in movement and it wasn't appealing.

HL2DM is far from the only game I play or am enthusiastic about, I'm excited about a ton of upcoming games and newly released games but crysis is not one of them.

I certainly haven't played hl2dm enough considering I'm on a hl2dm forum talking about how I won't be playing crysis, I'm glad you have fun with it and just because I don't care for it doesn't make it a bad game.

well like any other form of art mapping is one of them, shapping the terrain, texture it to the mappers liking, then texture it. and like any othjer form of art it takes time and, wastes your brain cells very easily

one odd thing is, when someone has an idea to do a map, to start doing the map is the hardest part of all, those that continue starting the map aren't much great mappers and will often kick the editor's to the recycle bin

i wish i could visit my maps in real life, it would be rewarding

To start a map is easy, to see it through to completion is what it really takes. One tip - don't release a map in beta and not expect feedback, maps take time and need testing until they are perfect.
