Hey everyone

I'd like to express my interest in joining the TSGK clan.
I know I have a few things to sort out first. I just wanted to make an appearance on the forums, and let you guys know that I'm interested =)

-I don't cheat
-I don't camp
-I despise the RPG
-Swearing/whining: see below
-I am not a member of another clan
-Player standing is "in good status"

-English is my first language
-I try to be a fun player, but I can be too rank-focused
-I use grav gun and nades all the time. Stunstick and crowbar, not so much.
-Rarely use the smg (currently 0.56% usage)
-Overall kpd: 1.57 Today: 2.35 (listed because this is my first playtime in a long time =P)
-I do not share my accounts with anyone
-I haven't been in a clan in the last 60 days
-I have always enjoyed the TSGK servers and respect the clan
-Current rank: Private
-TSGK servers are my favorite, and I know I can always count on em for some good killbox fun =)


The issues I mentioned include the following:
-I sometimes get angry when I lose. This results in swearing and whining, which of course are against your terms of acceptance. I may be able to keep this under control, but I don't know for sure after one day of (quite good, if I say so myself =P) play.
-Related is that I'm very competitive. I really like to win which, from my point of view, means a positive point count for the session. And that means that I may be more into getting to that top place than you guys want in your members.
-I just (today) started playing DM again after a month or two of break
-I only have 359 kills in the last week (all today, of course. By my time. =P)


Side note: I was in {MaX} clan for a long time. I was kicked in March for inactivity (because of a combination of end of the schoolyear studying and boredom with the game)

About me:
-I'm a 16-year-old guy going into my junior year of high school.
-I've got a job. My hours are like 9-12. 3 hours a day is pretty sweet.
-I practice Isshinryu karate. Over the summer, I go to 5 or 6 classes a week, which means I miss some prime playing time weekday evenings.
-I'm a black belt in said karate.
-I sing (not necessarily well. But I do it anyway.)
-I run cross country in the fall and fence in the winter. (I'm an epee.)
-I have a very high opinion of my own intelligence. I don't know if it's a correct opinion or not.
-I got my SAT2 score on the Math Level 2 test today. I got an 800. =D (Whoops! bragging. ^^
-Yo hablo un poco de espanol. Y quiero practicarlo mas, pero no tengo personas para practicar con. Si quiere hablar en espanol conmigo, me dice, por favor?

Your stats check out well but: -

1. You shudnt get angry when you lose, you cant be no.1 all the time, you should just have fun!!!! If you dont get pee'd off and have fun then you accomplish what a game is about.

2. Rank dont matter, its how you play and how you are as a player to the community, not how good you are.

Another thing to consider is that you must maintain 800 kills per week during your application period. As you have stated that you where kicked for inactivity and was bored of the game, can you commit to this?

Welcome to the forum.

You've been up front about your attitude. I don't see any gg, wp, n1, ns etc in your chat yet you are able to say 'lame'. I'm afraid that your attitude would be a problem in a fun clan. Not being able to enjoy a game without winning suggests to me you would be happier in a pro clan.

I agree with Diet.......while your chat is not offensive (to me), it's not particularly friendly either. To be honest, one of the main reasons I wanted to join TSGK is that their members were courteous and always greeted me when I said Hi and followed with a hearty GG when the game was over.

If you are to be TSGK you must always be respectful of other players regardless of ability and their weapon usage. If you get pissed at not winning, or being killed by a specific weapon, you must keep it to yourself (if not you should seek another clan)! There will always be someone more skilled than you in the killbox and there is no way to avoid a weapon you dislike all the time.

I do like your weapon usage, and love your honesty with regards to your character. I wish you the best of luck in you quest to be TSGK. Getting up to 800 kills a week will go a long way to showing us your attitude in the killbox and will further reinforce your weapon usage.

If you ever want to have a nice game of 1v1 find me at steamid notter_of_death. I'm not quite Osiris (our leader), but I'm solid. You can try to find Ghost Dog too, but I won't give away his steamid...I think it's on these forums though (I trained Ghost back in the day...and he's far more capable than me these days !). I'm not quite sure, but I think he's always up for a nice round in teh domebox.

Yeah, I definitely see where you guys are coming from. I knew when I posted that I wasn't ready to go immediately. =)

Couple responses - part of my anger issues may be (or have been) that my clan was rather focused on rank (on our own servers, at least). We'll see, when I have a bad day. =P
Also, I may not care so much about rank if the people I'm playing with don't care so much about rank. Again, we'll see. ^^

Sniper, I can definitely commit to that during the application period. But what are the rules for members with regards to kills/week? Just curious, because I'm not sure I can commit to 800 kills/week forever. =P

I'll definitely work on my chat behavior. (Btw those "lame"s in my chat history were probably both from spawning in front of combine balls. xD Not, of course, that it changes that I said "ns" only once.) We'll see, again, how it goes. =)

Once your a member of the clan, you can play as and when you like, as long as when you play you stick to the code of conduct set out by Osiris.

I played some games incognito with godshatter tonight (I was singing the praises of Steven Seagal). Nice chap. Good skill. He was quite complimentary (although he missed n1s on the kills that I considered truly awesome ).

Fun times were had by me. Hopefully the feelings were mutual!
