How do I make elevators that go up when people go on them.

Draw your platform.

Make it an entity.

Now you can use eitha a func_movelinear or func_door

Disadvantages with a func_movelinear is that the lift can get physics objects stuck underneath it when they close (ala dm_killbox_kbh_1) so allot of people use func_door.

If your lift is going up, set the andgle to up and also the lip is the lift's distance but with a func_door it must be a negative number for up.

Here's my lift I used in lost_base, it's a updated lift from gravity_gun_killbox. Wink

There's a small hole in the ground where the lift starts in
(player cliped so the player can't go in the hole)
This is so the player can always use the lift, even if they have lag.

The lift will not go up and down as soon as in hits a physic object in the way. The lift will move any physic object away if hit by the lift.

And the lift will take 1 hp of each sec a player is under the lift.
