I know I use way to much SMG. I used SMG a lot when I first started playing because it was much easier then the Grav Gun. Now that I put 10 hours into the game I started to experiment with it more. Using the grav gun now I see the power it holds and will use it much more. I was just curious how much of a percentage the Grav gun must be used over other guns. Right now the grav gun is only 10% or so for me. I could raise that. I know the weapons used is big to get into this clan. I think I fill all the requirements to join besides for the weapons I use. If you could answer my question would be greatly appreciated.

Gravgun is 6 %, and 30% for the SMG.
So i guess you have to improv the use of the gravgun.
You can compare your weapon usage to the one of some TSGK players:

Most of the TSGK have first the Gravgun, second the grenade (combo grenade+gravgun) and third the stunstick Smile

But everyone should play as he want, the goal is to have a good time during a game.

Ten days ago I had 30% of smg and only 9% of gravy gun.....
Now 27% of gravy and 11% of smg.
You can get a good percentage for a week.....
And it would be pleasant to you........ Very Happy

You know, I dont understand a weapon requirement. I have one of the fastest growing point totals out of the entire list and I just use whatever is most effective at the time. I may be wailing on someone up close with smg see a big item chuck it and by the time it hits, be shooting with smg again. If they are far away, using the pistol. Weapon choice should simply be the fastest and most effective way to frag.

I agree with your point of view Hiway , but I think smg really sucks , try to use pistol more because it is a better way to humiliate ; it's all about style Wink

Because many players use only this weapon, and kill other players in melee.
They change weapon only when they have no ammo... I think it's a really poor way of play. Weapons in HL2 are good balanced exception of smg, so why valve give this weapon on respawn?

I think there is only one bad weapon - the rpg. It's suited to the game HL2 but not to dm, especially small killboxes.

I don't mind smgs. They're good for beginners (or shooting TSGK clan Wink

- except freelancer Smile

) I used smg when I started. Little damage, but easy to use. Its a good thing that new players have a weapon they can use? That way they might like the game and in time they can discover the joys of other weapons.

I smell funny.

Well I have been workin on gettin my grav gun to the number one weapon used. Its now my most used weapon! I think I fall under all the criteria for joining TSGK. Can I join now? Smile

The SMG still your second weapon.
So you will have your tryout when SMG will fall after 4th position.
This will be all fine as i will be in the USA when it will happen.

the way i look at it is that osiris said we can not use the smg on server X and he requested that TSGK members try to reduce the usage of SMG on other TSGK servers. thats good for all TSGK members but you cant take the SMG away from the new players. If you look at the weapon statistics on the TSGK stats page, SMG has the most kill with almost 6 and a half million kills. Are we going to tell other clans that they cant use SMG when we have clan battles? I am primarily a grenade/grav player; however, I have been spectating many TSGK members and have picked up many tips and have been trying to expand my game. Before everyone started complaining about SMG use, I used it quite frequently as a clean up weapon after injuring players with grenades. NOw if I injure a player with a grenade and the only weapons I have are smg, pistol, grav gun and stick. I dont have smg as an option. So i try pistol stick or grav gun if there are objects around. Many times a) someone else gets my kill b) the injured person kills me as i dance around with pistol or stick or c) i get the pistol or stick kill in more time then it would have taken with the SMG. I agree that the SMG is loud and annoying and some players use it way to much but, there is no way to get away from the SMG on TSGK servers (except server X).

Yes exactly, to escape SMG, you have to go to Serv X.
No during clan fight it's all weapons open, even RPG if it's On.

I admint that cleaning someone with an SMG is quite faster than using a pistol or even a stick (and you don't risk to see your frag stolen).
But if you finish the job with an SMG, you will never get a skill, using the pistol or the stick instead train you to aim (if pistol) and go arround a player (if stick), you get a move and aim skill that you can't reach with the SMG.

The AR2 is even more difficult to use because your bullets magasin is short (take more time to reload) and you have to aim right to finish the job.

couse i almost all the times get my victim with a nade Razz

But if not then i shoot the head via pistol
And for the smg question i fave one thing to say
SMG Is anoying and too fast to kill with
THat means no skill and no moves. Crying or Very sad

So try to use real weapons not litle fartguns Very Happy
