Why does that look in a way creepy? Read the article about the "uncanny valley": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uncanny_Valley
Dunno whether that has been posted already, but even creepier (at least to me, u know, i'm a whimp who runs away as soon as somebody with a stunstick is approaching me :

According to something I read online (Dont ask me where, maybe I watched it on T.V) humans naturally Dislike anything that is a Robot but looks like a Real person, I find it very threatening infact. Thats why robots look like robots, the only point we would not be creeped out by them is if they could imitate a human perfectly in every aspect so we didn't know, however thats not going to happen for years.

I think its the way she moves her eyes and makes eye contact, it is quite scary the thought that a machine can touch you in that way, and maybe even hurt you.

Are you all saying that you think Asimov's Laws of Robotics do not alpply
1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2) A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law
If that's the case, its not scary its seriously, seriously scary.

Who are developping the most robots and robotic atm ?
Answer : Army.
And i think they haven't really planned to code Asimov's rules in IA of them.
Asimov's rules are only in books and in movies and not in reality.
so yes u can be scared
