Triigered by another post... it got me thinking. Here are my rules for how I decide whether or not to spawnkill:

Rule:
I will not spawnkill unless:
1) The person moves (then it is not a spawnkill)
2) The person is in my way to a weapon (like standing above it)
3) It is the first few seconds of a map start (especially in a killbox - fairgame)
4) They are Shimmy

Accidents happen so I will generally apologise unless:
1) I'm busy and then forget
2) They suddenly appeared after I fired
3) They die as a result of collateral (e.g. balls, barrells)
4) I'm rude

Could never see the problem with it to be honest.

If they are in the map then they are fair game. I dont expect to be spared so I dont spare anyone else.

PLus it would probably be the only way in which I could kill Shimmy anyway.

Spawn Camping however is a different matter.

I don't spawnkill. My fatal flaw is that I'm too nice. But yes accidents happen.

Just kill any of them back a few times and all will be fine...

I avoid it, if I do its an accident. even If I see the person move I dont attack, they need some time to collect weapons so I let them go unless they start fighting with someone right away. but If they attack me after spawn I attack back. however I sometimes go at them after spawn with nades or the stick, because thats fair as you spawn with them. but when I´m holding a nade in the ggun and someone spawns, I dont throw it at them. I find it sad when people shoot at you even if you dont move at all and its those people who have been playing long enough to learn that spawnkilling is bad.

I will Spawn kill you if: -

1 - You use SMG
2 - You blow me up/SMG me/Whatever - While im sticking someone
3 - I don't recognise you as a regular player.
4 - You spawnkill me
5- Im pissed off.

I won't Spawnkill (Unless by accident honest! ): -

1 - Your TSGK
2 - I recognise you as regular player
3 - I die before I get the chance to

The way I view it is, Spawn kill me I don't care, i don't complain, its part of the game ( Quakes even worse for SK), but please don't complain if I do the same to you, its HLDM, not CSS.

I spawn kill players to help them get used to the speed of the game .

I don't make a practice of spawn killing. A server which I play regularly is spawn protected and you often get double spawns on the same spot. Not so long ago I saw a triple spawn.
I lobed a nade got two, and the third, on the top, where protection had not worn off, ended up the other side of the box. The temptation was too great
There are exceptions, and, they mostly seem to be that it is ok to spawn kill

Yes, i do spawn killing. Yes, i do get spawn killed. That's why this game ist called deathmatch. I don't care about spawn killing campers because they are an easy target afterwards. And rereading Diet's laws i guess this summarizes them quite well

I spawn kill whenever I see someone spawn and is in my way because when I don't, I regret it. -_-

And I hate the feeling of regret.
