You could go and create a steam group called "Bacon's Friends" but then you do have the problem that players in the group will start inviting people that aren't actaullly your friends.

weird, I could. could have been someone who was in my friendslist also but I didnīt know too though.
adding people is hard now, since you dont see who has which steamname. for example I play on the server, my name ist lawitz, but in steam I call myself "test". so you want to add me, how do you do that? you look at the player list, there is the players in the server and me, "test". you have to guess and probably add the wrong one. really too bad they removed the old player list that showed both in-game name and steam name, you could just right click and add to friends list. since the overlay.exe doesnīt work for me 60% of the times I play I would have to minimize the game as well.

Don't get the friend invites, but the group invites, GAH. I've cleaned up my list and left half of the groups I was member of. Yea, GTA4 will be a nice game, but why do you need to create a group for that.
