I have DOne this GTA. In the repot i mentioned the Virus containing Program doehickys in the Links Files Confused

After telling this to Rublis he changed the pass for 31 digit code!!! Laughing

He is now trying to learn it Rolling Eyes

on the password login of steme, you say you have lost some of your inofmation. I believe it ses "retreive lost account
information"

Sorry gta but I had a mesage from you in steam and it said somehthing like hi click on this to see latest pics of half life ep3 . this was followed by a link which i clicked on.
the web page opened but i looked at it and thought something just didnt look quite right. so i closed it.
this was last night at around 7 pm just b4 our latest clan fight . WE LOST Sad

At between 1200 and 1300 hrs today my acount was hacked. as Kc ravage phoned me at work at around 1400 hrs to tell me that fyck had recieved a mesage from me passing him this dam link....

Im thinking on Sorting an Email of EVERYONES Accounts names and sorted out text ,and Sending it ti steam Support. As EMAIL,yes i know it will take OMFGWHOKNOWHOWLONG to get it throught.
But if all Of those who will help sort it out amil it aswell,we could have bigger chances? Idea

Lol, enough laughing. I think I know how you guys must feel, I hope you guys get their accounts back soon. Maybe, you can start a steam group acting as a petition to convince steam support to hurry with the account fixture. Or start a guestbook on Freelancers' TSGK webspace acting like a petition. Lobbying always does the trick.

it could have bin an account of someone else faking your name gta and send the pm´s to ppl in gta´s list. To be able to send messages to non friends is very annoying and i think valve will learn out of this situation and cut that "feature".

HEHE I was chating on team to ravage tonight and we were trying to send an email to them as I got confused about the screens for sending the report Embarassed

didnt know I needed to be loged in to the steam forum to send it and ended up creating a new steam forum acount Embarassed

In comes an email telling me that they have reset my password and email address and that I can now login and reset my passwords again ...

No dont make a group you silly people xD Thats half the reason this has been able to travel so fast. If you wanna make a petetion do it on the steam forum. As for now tho, an email once a day to steam will be enough. You must include your cd keys in a photo/scan and all your account details except your password. I know they are working very hard on the problem, and working on ways to prevent it from happening again. What they should do really is kill the friends servers for 2 days, stick a warning in the steam news window, let everyone catch up with the info, then bring friends back. Oh well.
Please everyone, keep listing all the people you have received the message from. It seems in some cases the virus/worm isnt able to steal accounts, ie i downloaded and run a file, but it didnt get anything from me. I changed my password damn fast tho xD
And in GTA's case his steam is sending things out but nothing has taken the account O_o
Sounds like we have a cocky noob hacker on our hands, it doesnt work overly well from a technical level, it relys on our trust for one another, steam wont fall for it again, make sure you dont either Razz
